Aloo Shimla mirch has always been my favorite..the family is not very fond of it...but when I make this , they eat it quietly & polish it off..a compliment in itself. Thanks Kunal Kapur for this delicious, homely recipe 😊
Thank you for this wonderful recipe. Tried it today. Earlier shimla Mirch aloo ki sabji was most dreaded in our house and today the whole family loved it so much that nothing was left.
Now i knew ki ap itte successful chef q bane your mom is so creative and hard working she loved cooking as most tiffin recipes are kam chalau most people make tiffin with least affords but frying aloo shows how passionate she is salute to aunty❤
Shimla Mirch was introduced to India by the British colonists, and the first successful large-scale good-quality cultivation was done in the Shimla hills area. That's where the name comes from. it looks delicious.... sure I'm going to try this... Thank you chef for this recipe... Love from Maharashtra ❤️❤️
Britishers brought capsicum to India & it was cultivated in Shimla. Locals felt it looked like our green chilies, hence the name of the area & chilies got refereed to the vegetable. Here in California we call it bell peppers. Thanks for always sharing delicious recipes:)
California and church bells .......Famous like pointed sharp green chillies ..........British empress cannot bear to see green chillies .......Somehow they got surrogate mothers to get the bell peppers ........ British emperor is cooking dishes at Stella Maris college or ethiraj college both colleges teach visual communication .......But the admission fees was not affordable for my ward .......So quit at the admission gate ....... Gate security Rana das Gupta ..........Watching all the girls from computer or television of gate ......... admission ...............Entry point for drivers ...........The prime owners of polytechnics and engineering colleges across the globe ............... ............. . British empire nostalgia's
Although the Bell Peppers sold in American supermarkets look extremely gorgeous, but they are low in taste and flavor, unlike their Indian sisters. This is because of genetic modification which chooses longer shelf-life, and good looks over taste and flavor. I no longer cook Bell-peppers at home. It is pointless.
@@annsgal2025 I wouldn't buy them at the regular grocery store. In my personal experience, organic bell peppers from Whole Foods or the farmer's market are pretty tasty🙂

I have observed north indian people like to use more masale in vegs but in our home my mother use to make this veg using only mirch powder and little dhane powder but in the last we add khobra and shengdana kut. Dhobli mirchi must be cut small. And afterwards to add half lemon juice . . As this veg has somewhat strong taste.
Chef ur recipes are always wonderful..specially the way you present is simple and interesting. Though just now i came in to check the lovely comments on ur video.
