The mindset behind "too long" isn't really correct because the goal is not to catch up asap. Change your goal to take in and savory the story and each arc as you go because it's not about the treasure, it's about the journey. When you're actually caught up you'll just think it's not enough.

@@hhhfdsfs not really. The artstyle and pacing is better but having no phenomenon voice acting, no incredible music and no crunchy animation isn't better. Nami crying for help, Luffy punching celestial dragon or binks sake, moments like this. The backstories are also all better done in the anime version. The comedy on the screen is much funnier too.
LAND, CAVES, OCEAN, SKY, UNDER THE OCEAN, EVEN YHE MOON... there is no place that they won't go to AND every place they go to has it's own Culture. It's phenomenal. I honestly forgot the show was about finding treasure and kept watching for the beautiful world building.
Coming from Naruto? Keep in mind that this is ALL about peoples dreams. Naruto does a good job of portraying certain character's dreams, but OP? It's a whole nother level.

Rollercoaster logic, when you ride them are you interested in reaching the end of the ride? No you are interested in enjoying the ride, having fun while riding it. That was my mindset when i started One Piece even though i did not enjoy much the first few arcs(except the shanks episode). Go with your own pace its not a race.
This show has been going on for 24 years, the animation has gone with the times. Earlier episodes are worse graphically but get much better as the show progresses

I would say it's def not about how quickly you watch it though. Pay attention to characters and details along the way.

Just saying, the One Piece manga and anime has a really, really bad beginning. It shoots up to 100 later on though.
