Obviously as a polyglot myself i am biased but the greatest way to connect to people is by speaking their language . The first words mamma , pappa , milk , food all is spoken in native language from childhood and when a " foreigner " speaks it he becomes one among them . Great videos .
True! And thank you Haroon :D
@@RyanHaleYT Hello, just a tip about (my) French language : most of the time, don't pronounce the final consonant. English and Spanish people do that a lot and we recognize them immediately ;)
Also, if you want to impress a French person, pronounce "Tu as raison" (= You're right) perfectly.
If they're used to strangers trying to speak French, they will be impressed (personally I've never heard a non French person pronounce it right, not even close).
That's very difficult for a stranger, because :
_ the sound "u" is not "oo"
_ "as" is pronounced just like the a in "bar" (and the "s" is not pronounced)
_ the "r" is hard to be pronounced the French way for an English native, and it's by itself a common way to recognize a foreigner speaking French : he's "rolling" the r (Russian, Spanish and Italian ppl), or pronounce them like "w" (English and American ppl), or pronounce them like "l" (Chinese and Japanese ppl) instead of scraping the throat
_ "ai" is pronounced "eh" like the first "e" in "letter"
_ the "s" in "raison" is placed between 2 vowels, so it's pronounced "z" like the s in in "desire" or the z in "wizard"
_ the worst is the final "on", I don't know about another language having this sound ( but maybe there are some)
_ of course don't pronounce the final "n"
You can check the pronounciation of "raison" in Linguee if you want (it's free)
@@nod_jawk Ce sont de bons conseils 👍
There's just something so wholesome about your channel. You just seem to genuinely love to interact with people in different languages. Keep it up

In Japanese, you don't have to say "anata wa" when talking to someone, except in specific circumstances. They almost never refer to the person they are talking to unless it's possible to mix up the subject of the sentence. I've learned that Japanese is a language where they heavily rely on context. So, you should just say "onamae wa nan desu ka?" Also, good job on pronunciation :D
I'm not a native speaker, I've just been studying it on my own.
Thank you Damien :D
This is correct. It's not technically incorrect or rude to say 'anata no' in that context, but it can be seen as weird, like Spanish in that sense, except Spanish also has pronoun-specific conjugations.
Bro this a little bit weird because in my language arabic we have " Anta " wich means " you " 🫡
In arabic you have "wa" (and) too, right ?
So you say "wa anta", while here he said "anata wa".
And you write from right to left, so that's quite a mirror thing here, that's funny ^^
@@nod_jawk It's really interesting to see similarities between languages that have historically had no interaction with each other before those similarities formed in their languages :)

7:31 "Po Po" (போ போ) in Tamil actually means "Go Go", obviously meaning move faster or go away.
But say that only if you're not afraid of getting smacked in return.
Any Tamil people or Tamil fans here?
