I began to play this game last night and from 10 pm to 5 am I was in deep. But, waking up and watching the semi pull up out of nowhere with on the house on the back has made me fallen in love with this game.
we used to do this in Ark before the xp notes. we'd build a bunch of mortar and pestles and stage them to make like narcotics or gunpwder, and then we'd gather an enormous amount of fiber to make either cloth hats or cloth pants. right and we'd make exp potions for 50% bonus for 20 mins. so in Ark you got team xp which was like if someone in your tribe earned xp you earned 50% for being near them.. right so say a gunpowder being crafted in the mortar and a hat being made by hand both gave 5 xp you'd get your 5 plus 2.5 per tribe member also doing that at the same time. then 50% bonus meant you'd get 7.5 plus 5 per tribe member and you had both sources going at once. so my numbers are just from memory but you were basically getting 15 xp per second + 10 per second per tribe member for 20 minutes. and our tribe was like 8 people so it was like 95 xp per second which was pretty solid given the cap at that time was 100, or about 1,8 million xp. it meant a total of about 15 parties of 8 people to get to 100. now, there were way better methods later and with good dinos way more efficient methods but for a starting tribe using basic stuff or to get a team of alts to mid/high level this was very strong. xp notes blew this out of the water though.
with a short reset timer the developers would likely have to rotate groups of servers so they all don't reset the same week. but also lock servers that are halfway or more into a season so players can't join them since they likely won't finish the content within a reasonable time frame.

Youre suppose to use the resources you farm, not stock up on them. It appeals to both hardcore and casuals it's a good game. Give this game a chance please

Dude selling salt is good and all but it better to sell gold and silver bars I mean just one gold bar sell for 6000 while silver goes for 4000. O.O but trust me once you get your specialized tools from your skill tree you can easily make those and sell them for a few hundreds.

There is a A.I. assisted Crit Burn build going around that changes 2 the two heavy duty with lone wolf. Using a few different mods like blaze amp, and ruthless reaper

After seeing your video I'm going to suck it up and try to get use to the wonky feeling third person because this game does have a lot to do. Feels like I'm going area to area with no real issue, maybe I need to keep going but man the horizon isn't looking good for this game. I love some of the core mechanics, but without engaging combat and gameplay overall, what's the point in playing?
