I had almost forgotten what they did in order to grab those belts. Yesterday in another forum, his father went into detail about the agreement, in order to get that fight with Kambosos. This is the same thing that happened with Bud wanting to fight Errol, a few years back. I had said Errol was being guided, in order to grab the larger purses, prior to fighting Bud. After Bud beat Spence, I found out his team didn't want that fight, although Spence wanted to fight him. That's what champions do, props to Spence. I also stated in that forum, since Shakur's team didn't counter offer, he has no choice but to go to 140 and take those. I heard today that's what he plans to do.

I think most of us know they don't want to see Shakur, but, Devin has every right to offer, what he wants to offer at this point. Especially after what he just achieved. I had almost forgotten what they did in order to grab those belts. Yesterday in another forum, his father went into detail about the agreement, in order to get that fight with Kambosos. This is the same thing that happened with Bud wanting to fight Errol, a few years back. I had said Errol was being guided, in order to grab the larger purses, prior to fighting Bud. After Bud beat Spence, I found out his team didn't want that fight, although Spence wanted to fight him. That's what champions do, props to Spence. I also stated in that forum, since Shakur's team didn't counter offer, he has no choice but to go to 140 and take those. I heard today that's what he plans to do.
And Shakur has every right to negotiate but the Haneys just will not. Shakur deserves more than 25% being that most fans will come to see him, not Devin.

I'm confused though. Wouldn't Shakur take that same percentage against someone else who had the belts. I believe Haney made that amount when he had to fight Kambosos. In order to get where you want and you are trying to make a legacy you take the low end to end up reaching the high end. Neither guy brings a lot of money to the table.
