I was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma . 70 Dr visits in the last year . It went to my brain and I had 3 tumors . With Truebeam radiation and Opdivo . It was either a miracle or how much better they treat the worst of the worst today . I was shocked when told . Cancer has vanished !!! Also told had it been diagnosed like it was 5 years ago .. I would have been given 3 months to live last year ..

I’m here because I’ve been watching vlogs from a person who lost her battle to this disease. In my humble opinion, she didn’t have good enough doctors.

Excellent! My late husband was diagnosed in 2000 with non small cell lung cancer and managed to live 21 years with the use of conventional treatment (chemo, surgery, radiation). I had pushed for immunotherapy but our doctors said it was not available to him. I often wonder if I had fought harder for him to get the doctors to agree to immunotherapy what outcome we would have had. He died actually as a result of all of the treatments…they really damaged his body. He was cancer free at death. 😢

Great! Now I hope doctors can tell me why I am now in my 31st year of remission after being diagnosed at 4.5, or fatal? My lymph nodes came back clean after most of right thigh & right nodes removed in 9 hour surgery on 1/2/89. How am I alive after ignoring new ugly mole for at least 2 years?

That is great. Unfortunately, many with stage 4 melanoma don’t make it.

If melanoma spreads to the brain, does it cause similar tumors as say glioblstoma ?

Hi there- it would still be melanoma if the tumor spreads. You can learn more about melanoma and immunotherapy by visiting our website: www.cancerresearch.org/Immunotherapy/Cancer-Types/Melanoma
