Thank you for your thoughtful presentation. Although I’m not a patient of yours I found this video on UA-cam. I was just diagnosed with 3A melanoma and found this to be very helpful.

I had stage 3A and went on the BRAF targeted medication for year. Scans came back clear during medication and I’m having my first scan since coming off the medication in a few weeks 🤞🏻

@@amamody4699 BRAF is a mutation that about half of melanomas have. They have created a treatment that targets the melanoma with the BRAF mutation. I guess people that have that mutation have more options for treatment. They can do both the targeted therapy and then immunotherapy if that didn’t work.
I went fully vegan after being diagnosed. Cut out as much sugar and processed food as possible. Cut out alcohol. I have lots of vegetables and fruit and try and have lots of food with high vitamins and nutrients. It made me feel a lot better. Especially during treatment 🙂.

My son has been diagnosed with stage 3. He has spitz melanoma. It was 11mm. He had his surgery in may 16th 2022 and still hasn't been given a treatment. He found 2 swollen lymph nodes on his neck june 11th. We are concerned of the melanoma metastasizing to the organs. We want to start treatment asap. Can you inform us of the chances of it spreading? He will be having an ultrasound hopefully soon and then possibly a biopsy on the swollen nodes. Also getting a genetic test. But all a wait.

Hi I’m from Ireland. I’m looking for some information. I’ve stage 3 melanoma. And have heart failure . Had my limp nodes in my arm pits removed . Waiting for a scan to see if it has spread to my organs . Do you know my survival rate?

So if you were tested for BRAF and the test came back inconclusive due to the node samples being too small, would you advocate for the primary being tested or just go with Opdvio? My doctor is hesitant to order the test again in case we really need to do it later. Thoughts?
