I heard Charlie Puth singing this on the radio so i had to come home and listen to and watch this amazing video. I love Grace's voice on this song.
Already, by age 11, she had developed that unmistakable, emotional, Grace-sound.
If I had an 11-year-old daughter and I heard her sing this.... I'd have put her on AGT too...
She's the only artist I know of today that can make people cry and smile at the same time...
If you need some entertainment you can go on videos of the people who lost to Grace and read disturbing things the fans say about Grace. Laura fans even attack Jackie Evancho
Their loss. Pity them for not having the capacity to appreciate beauty.

I actually listen to this regularly after all these years. I can't say how many times. But even 4 years after it was recorded it still gives me a perfect antidote to today's news. Can there possibly be a more beautiful voice, a more beautiful heart, a more beautiful human being than Grace?!!? Thanks for posting this amazing recording!

Grace's voice is maturing beautifully, so these peeks into her past are beautiful treasures of her early raw talent. Everything Grace does touches me, but the early recordings, even the early AGT videos, are becoming increasingly emotional for me. Early on a reviewer wrote "aching with emotion" and I think that fits perfectly. BTW the video here is wonderful also. You can never get enough of that beautiful smile!
I have heard this many times but it is so amazing that i need to keep listening to it over and over.Grace's voice has changed but it was also so amazing when she sang this song.

I agree, Grace's voice is maturing and she is able to control it more and her writing is fantastic. The messages are for humanity and from the perspective of a young teenager. I love to see and hear how she sees the world around her.

I can identify, Fredee. For some reason, each song takes me on a different emotional journey as her voice alternates between sweet and soulful and - at times - into profound sadness. In interviews she said she wants her music to [paraphrasing] temporarily take people away from reality. 13. Damn.

Well it is possibe to escape reality for that amount of time Samah, I've successfully done it for 65 years. On a emotional journey is how i felt listening to Grace at ACL. I floated thru the City like Florets, off to A Better Life

A fall release of the documentary seems likely, as that would coincide with the planned release date of the album. RumbleYard is part of Sony as is is Columbia Records. I'm wondering how long and in-depth it will be, since the production team comes from a youtube background.
Fredee Maybe you mean Kurt Hugo Schneider and Invisalign. It seems that Sony has a partnership with Kurt. It looks like young people with fresh initiatives, who may fulfill what Grace wants their documentary to be. I hope!! Because I'm sure Grace wants it to be funny but real. If done right, it could be one of the most beautiful stories in music: "bet on a dream and carry it out with faith, work, humility, passion, personality, pride, savoir-faire, and real love". I hope it will be very beautiful, and the beginning of a true fairy tale. She deserves it. I long for the moment to see it, and hope they also show her tree house! :)

I expect an album soon, and then the next albums 3 and 6 years later. In the meantime she should go to school and learn for life.
+Mi K Grace is going to school - on line with a private tutor, and getting good grades. She need not attend school in a classroom to learn about life, and I doubt that her future albums will be that far apart. We think Grace is doing just fine!
She cannot be fit for life with 13. She needs the normal contact with other children for some more years. She needs to got to school. Or shall she end like Miley Cyrus?

+Mi K With all due respect, my vision is different from yours. IMHO, she is following a dream, for the one who seems to have been born. Her spirit is so great, that some of her peers, neither appreciated nor understood. She seems full of happiness and is guided by parents who seem to be very clear where their daughter walks and guarded her impeccably. She has been involved in causes that not all people could embrace even if we wanted. She has a spirit of leadership and influence, even for people who are not from her generation, and those from her generation, are taking her as a model to follow. All this, with 12/13 years old. What can we expect from the future of a person with all these qualities, but to continue trying to grow doing what her soul asks, and contribute to the happiness of others? Her family supports her completely, and who better than them, knows what is best for her? Let's stop trying to put the magnifying glass on issues that do not concern us. What we should appreciate, is her public life, enjoy it, and give her our support and affection, and forget about negative reasoning.

Actually, this was a very skillful duet. Perfect complement and balance to Charlie Puth's voice. Silence at the right times to let him take the limelight, then gentle harmonies and counterpoint, then some of her own, solo moments. Many professionals could not have done this as well--and she was just jammin'. I love her little chuckle at one point in the song, and the "yup" at the end. Classic Grace VanderWaal.
