DIY Wall Calendar - How To Make a Chalkboard Monthly Planner | @laurenfairwx

Here are the materials you'll need to make this chalkboard wall calendar! (Some of the links below are affiliate links, which help me to fund this channel at no extra cost to you.)
- A chalkboard! Mine is around 22 x 16", but you could adjust it to work with a larger or smaller chalkboard as long as you have enough space for the whole calendar. This is pretty close to the one I used: go.magik.ly/ml/...
- Ruler
- Square sticky notes to use as templates for the day boxes (mine are 2x2") go.magik.ly/ml/...
- Page marker sticky notes to write appointments or schedule on (mine are 0.5 x 2") go.magik.ly/ml/...
- White paint marker go.magik.ly/ml/...
- Cardstock (I used the light blue from this pack) go.magik.ly/ml/...
- Pen (whichever you prefer! I used Tombow Mono Drawing Pens)
- Paper cutter or scissors. This is the trimmer I used: go.magik.ly/ml/...
- Slim Washi Tape to.jetpens.com/...

I am really into organising right now, so this came at the right time! I'll think about it for a bit, but I kinda like the idea of doing something similar with a magnet board, so I don't have to tape everything on. Is it magnetic? I wonder if you could make it even more efficient by using magnets on the days of the month?

Mine isn’t magnetic (which is why I had to use washi tape), but you could get one that is!

Lauren Fairweather Gotcha! Is it easy to peel off? I've never used that sort of tape before. 🙂

Yep! Washi tape isn't very sticky. You might have to replace it every few months since it might run out of stick after being moved a few times, but it peels up super easily from my experience (though I'd imagine that different brands vary).

Lauren Fairweather Good to know! I've been thinking about either a) getting a calender or b) buying one sorta like this. I also like having something physical to see, so maybe making one like this is a better (and probably less expensive) option.

If the blackboard is magnetic I guess you could use magnets instead of sticky notes. Hmm. Interesting, thanks for the video.
