- Picked up a Waverunner with a runaway engine. Upon start up the engine would race to 7K rpms and I couldn't figure it out. I later found that the crank case had no oil seals which would explain the uncontrolled racing of the engine.
Loved the shop towel solution instead of a magnet. That’s great trick. I watched a transmission bearing removed the other day with a bolt and some wonder bread. Was super cool to see
Watched all your videos, learned a lot. Thank you very much! I wish you put all of the torque specifications for all of those bolts, crankcase, cylinder, and head. If you could, I would really appreciate it. I'm new in that stuff and don't know where to start. Thanks again.
Thanks Harrison, glad the videos helped. Sorry I didn't point out all of the torque specs, but you can do what I did to get them. I googled Yamaha xl800 torque specs on my iPad and found them really quick. When spring comes I'll be posting another video or two on the engine installation.
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Any idea where I can get a new motor?
Not really. I mean, outside of ebay there are some pwc shops online that will rebuild engines, it can take months.

hello, I have the same type of water scooter and I have a question, does it leave the original oil dispenser or remake and mix oil with gasoline? I am waiting for a response
I left the oil dispenser on the engine, I did not remove it.
