Love the way Paul sings this. He puts more soul and feeling into every song he sings. I've loved Paul Rodgers forever, best-looking guy in the world and best singer.

Ron Connell Oh don't get me started! Free & Bad Co., Styx, Boston, Foreigner, all influenced Def Leppard, Journey & Bon Jovi. And it ain't for a lack of platinum LPs & 45s

Good Question because he deserves to be. Paul Rodgers is the man. Bad Company, The Firm, solo artist, This man doesn't get any respect nor recognition with his performance and he deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I agree, I do believe this is the best cover, I truely love this song and with the amazing Jimmy Page on guitar and Paul Rogers voice. It does not get any better, this band The Firm was a healing for both men, and beside LZ and Bad Company, this is the greatest rock band, much love to you all

Paul’s voice is as good as any that’s ever picked up a mic!! You can take the top ten throw them in a bag and pull them out randomly and that will be your top ten for that day! Paul is definitely in that top ten maybe top five since he’s still belting it out at seventy four!

In the 80s when this came out. I was just a teen, and had already been in love with Zep and Bad Company. This blew me away. The entire album is supremely done. Midnight Moonlight Lady is my favorite, however all are so greatly done. I listen to it even to this very day. ; ) Thank you. Jimmy, and Paul. God bless you both. And of course the rest of the band..

When I saw The Firm in OKC with some friends in 1985, just a year out of high school, it was maybe my forth or fifth concert. Still, to this day, after hundreds of live shows, one of the greatest moments was this song, that night. There was a biblical rain storm going on outside, one of the worst in OKC history, and about midway through the show, the PA and lighting power went suddenly dead. Within seconds, I don't remember what song they were actually playing at the time, Paul and Jimmy walked to the front of the stage, armed with just acoustic guitars, and led the crowd in a rousing version of this song. They managed to stretch it out a few minutes longer than normal, just long enough for personal to get the power back on. Absolutely the greatest professional moment I've seen at a rock show.
Tony's steller bass solo version of The Star Spangled Banner, ala Jimi Hendrix style, was a highlight as well. Oh, and Chris Slade on drums? Dude was/is a monster.
The drive home that night was treacherous, almost a hundred miles in blinding rain, but it was well worth it.

You never close your eyes anymore
    When I kiss your lips
And there's no tenderness like before
    In your fingertips
You're trying hard not to show it (baby)
But baby, baby I know it
    You've lost that lovin' feelin'
    Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
    You've lost that lovin' feelin'
'Cause it's gone, gone, gone, whoa
There's no love to look in your eyes
    When I reach for you
And now you're starting to criticize
    Little things I do
It makes me just feel like crying (baby)
    'Cause baby, something beautiful's dyin'
    You've lost that lovin' feelin'
    Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
    You've lost that lovin' feelin'
Now it's gone, gone, gone, whoa
Baby, baby, I'd get down on my knees for you
If you would only love me like you used to do
We had a love, a love, a love you don't find everyday
So darling, darling, darling, don't take your love away, oh
    Bring back that lovin' feelin'
    Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
    Bring back that lovin' feelin'
    'Cause it's gone
    Baby (baby), baby (baby)
    Bring back that lovin' feelin'
    Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
    Bring back that lovin' feelin'
    'Cause it's gone
