- Hello all.
Today we have a pretty simple clean and condition job on this pair of motorcycle boots. These boots have never been cleaned or conditioned, so they are pretty thirsty. We won’t be adding any color as the owner would like to keep the distressing its developed. We will also be leaving all the scuffs, although the conditioning will improve most them. There will be no wax added since these are motorcycle boots and any slick surface would be bad for operating foot controls. Lastly, we will be adding some mink oil along the upper/lower stitches. This is a stitch out/down boot, so we want to make sure no nasty road water gets into the boot. For being several years old and the only pair the rider has these boots aren’t in bad shape. One thing to remember about motorcycle boots is they are exposed to the elements a lot more than walking shoes are. They travel at high speed getting beaten by the wind and dirt, not to mention all the road grime and break dust. All that road grime leaches the moisture out of leather and all that sun exposure bakes the leather. The moisture of motorcycle boots should be replenished often. You can see on the vamps of this pair that the creases are very dry, and they could have developed into cracks. Its very important to keep motorcycle boots hydrated from a safety standpoint as well. If there was an accident a pair of dry boots is weak and compromised, they are more likely to split and tare. On the other hand, a well moisturized pair will have more flexibility and be structurally sound. So, don’t forget to maintain your motorcycle leathers!

How's the sizing?
I have the brown version. They already start to loose the brown color after less then 10 times of normal use , I’ve done short rides, long rides and a day of wearing them on the campsite. The color is fading like they have been used for a year. I read on the website they patina nicely but I’m afraid that after a year they look totally worn.
Does anyone recognize the quick wear of the brown version or is it just my pair and not normal. A friend of mine has got the black version and they still look brand new after a couple of months normal use.
I've had mine for 3 years. Put 123k miles on them and wear them off the bike occasionally. The way you see them in the vid is how they look. Its possible yours may not have been dyed correctly but I'm not sure.
Are these the brown Yu’Roks, please (I’m assuming so by the red laces - the black come with green laces)?

Yes Brown. These had orange laces on them tho. Probably not a pair that cane with them.
