Looked a great day out. Some great footage there. Sad news, though, the part where you filmed the opening titles to your video's for this 2024 year has changed slightly at the crossing cottage on the Severn Valley Railway. All the popular trees in the background have been cut down. Apparently, they were getting to a height that was too risky if it got too windy. They have, however, replanted some new trees that will grow to form a new woodland area.
Nice to see tho Locomotives working so hard at the Avon Valley Railway tho the coaches do need a bit of tlc and your various locations along the line most outstanding and superb indeed.
Rule no. 1: no scenery shots allowed. Rule no. 2: ride the rails all day, from one end of the line to the other, and back again. You can break off for a bite to eat. Rule no. 3: ride up close and personal behind the steam engine, so we can hear her loud and proud down our ears. The camera looks nowhere else. Rule no. 4: scenery shots are allowed only when a stinky diesel forces you to get that sort of scene. What's not to love about steam engines? They're better than stinky diesels any day.
A wonderful heritage railway, very well filmed. Many thanks Matt. All the best...Steve
