Greetings Veronica, thank you for all the informative videos they are awesome! Most importantly, your TIME and soothing VOICE; that makes all the difference. I am new to bookkeeping and have been researching heavily on similar sources for tips and information. So far, you have been the most consistent and clear. You are completely right about number 3 in "7 things to know about bookkeeping business." I, personally find it to be rather helpful source of energy in gaining clients, keeping clients and getting to clients to refer you. Moreover the other skills I am working on diligently as I grow with you. Thank You!
Thanks for the info. I appreciate you taking time out to share this valuable information. I am in my first year of providing bookkeeping services and find that everything you said in the video to be true.
Thanks a ton for this Veronica! It was really a helpful guide for those who wanted to start this kind of industry. These 7 things will really help me out soon. As for me, I'm really eager to learn new things. Right now, I'm confused as to what or where should I start. Actually, I have attended webinars for bookkeeping and other software technicalities, now that I was able to get those certificates, I'm getting lost on to where to go next, luckily, I found your UA-cam channel and been planning to immerse myself with these playlists. I am in high hopes that I will be getting so much value and insights from you as well. Stay safe! God be with you always! :)
Hi, I have a question which I think you can answer: I want to work on a freelance website as a bookkeeper where clients will be keep changing after ever few months (short term projects), I have QuickBooks Desktop installed on my laptop so how do I set it up for freelance bookkeeping service? Should set up a new company everytime I get a new client or set up company on my name? Also tell me if I get an offer from a client to work as a freelance bookkeeper for him, do I have to become a user in his QuickBooks system (what happens usually on freelance sites like upwork? when they offer you a job do they make you a user on their QuickBooks system or you have to set up their company on your desktop version to work with their transactions?) Sorry to be annoying but please let me know if you are familiar with these things.
Thank you so much for your videos! I am trying to start learning bookkeeping to hopefully start my own home business. I have been taking the Lynda 17hr course online for bookkeeping. Can you list the software you use? I see that you use the Quick Books on the Cloud....thanks! I will watch all your videos!!!
Hi. Congratulations on your decision to pursue bookkeeping and to get training. I use QuickBooks Online and other cloud applications like Bill.com, ReceiptBank, and Tallie.
You're headed in the right direction - gaining technical skills. I know of several people building a business on the side. It takes hard work and dedication. Hopefully you can find the information and answers you seek.
Great video. I was wondering who pays for the bookkeeping software, the bookkeeper or the client? I've done it both ways and have never really been sure. Thanks.
Hi Christine. Great question. It is really up to you. However, if you want to provide your client with fixed monthly pricing, I recommend including the bookkeeping software as part of your package. I tell clients that my services include the software that I provide. I would recommend including the cost of the software in your package, only if the client is on an auto payment (ACH or credit card). That way, you get paid at the beginning of the month for all your services and you eliminate the risk of the client not paying you (for services or for the software subscriptions you provide).
Hi Javin, anything is possible if you work hard. You'd have to brush up on your skills and learn the ins and outs of QuickBooks Online as well as virtual bookkeeping.
Ron H. That's great. Check out www.accountingcoach.com for free training. Also Universal Accounting and Bookkeeper Business Launch are two paid options for learning.

Did you do it? How is it going? I am thinking of doing this.
Currently attending Universal Accounting online classes. Still deciding how to do this on the side of a corporate accountant position.
