IS THE NEW TESTAMENT TRUE? Why Judaism Does NOT Accept Christian Scriptures - with Rabbi Michael Skobac
    To Donate www.canadahelps.org/dn/24741
    • It has been said that there are many new and true things in the New Testament.
The problem is that the new things aren’t true and the true things aren’t new.
    • Christian missionaries insist that the New Testament is the inerrant word of God and the fulfillment of the Jewish Bible, the Tenach, which Christians mis-name the "Old Testament". In this special 2-hour lecture, Rabbi Michael Skobac offers a critical examination of the New Testament scriptures from a traditional Jewish perspective.
Questions should be directed to RabbiSkobac@JewsForJudaism.ca

JEWS FOR JUDAISM is an outreach organization whose primary goal is to win back to Judaism those Jews who have been influenced by the following six threats to Jewish survival that are devastating the global Jewish community.
    1. Hebrew-Christian missionaries convert thousands of Jews worldwide every year
    2. Destructive cults cause many Jews to abandon family, friends and careers
    3. Eastern religions, Buddhism and Hinduism are spiritual choices for many Jews
    4. Apathy and ignorance leave many Jews unaware, unaffiliated and assimilated
    5. Intermarriage is exploding with a 75% rate in some North American cities
    6. Anti-Israel BDS on campus inhibits Jewish students from standing up for Israel and Judaism
To assist non-Jews who have left other religions, JEWS FOR JUDAISM also provides educational programs to help them embrace the Torah’s Seven Noachide Laws for Gentiles.
We achieve our goals through our worldwide Internet outreach, Social Media, free educational programs, educational literature and counseling services that connect Jewish people to the spiritual depth, beauty and wisdom of Judaism.
“I am so grateful to have discovered the wonderful Jews for Judaism UA-cam lectures by Rabbi Skobac. I am a Jew who converted to Christianity in college, but now, thanks to your online outreach, I have returned to Judaism. Thank you.” - Rebecca G.
In a nutshell, Jews for Judaism saves Jewish lives and keeps Jews Jewish.
PLEASE SUPPORT JEWS FOR JUDAISM’S LIFE-SAVING WORK!
Your help is very much needed and greatly appreciated.
Jews for Judaism never charges for its programs, books and counseling services… ever.
We rely solely on donations from people like you.

I love the intellect and communication skills of Rabbi Skobac.
He has taught me so much about my former religion (Christianity). I no longer feel guilty about questioning the authenticity of Christianity. I see so much clearer now.
I’m not a Jew but I feel kindred to the Jews.
All I can say is I now understand why religious Jews are persecuted,
    It all makes sense now.

I really enjoyed this lecture. Thank you so much. I am not Jewish, but I have starting listening to Jewish lectures because it does make a lot more sense. I have always had a serious problem with the people who transcribed scriptures and it was painfully obvious that they would have been more than willing to "twerk" the scripture for politics goals and population control.
That is why I started listening to these lectures to begin with.
Thank you for you kindness in being willing to share these important lessons to non Jewish people. Shalom.

Rabbi skobac does a great job and a great service.... As a person who has been seeking the truth of how there can be 1 creator vs. thousands of christian denominations, i came into the hebrew roots and learned of also many Jewish denominations.... The onion peels come off harder as you get closer.... The god culture channel just did a video about how the hasmonians took over /stole they were temple and somehow caused the sons of zadok to flee to cumron and became the fake priests of Sadducees and pharisees. .. so the deception goes further back and deeper yet still

Where does it say in Torah that Abraham was the first Jew? I cannot find it.

    • @JewsforJudaismCanada
      @JewsforJudaismCanada  2 роки тому +38

The Torah never explicitly says "Abraham was the first Jew". He was called an Ivri (Hebrew) in Genesis 14:13. He was the progenitor of the nation of people who were initially called Israelites. Later, these people were referred to as Jews (Esther 2:5, 3:10, etc.) So putting two and two together, Abraham was the first person from the nation who would become known as Jews.

  • @Magic818100

He's a great speaker I admire this rabb. But, it doesn't have to say that it will continue that's not really proof of anything because even the other books that were written before the 400 BC were written before that and years and years went by and other books was written so to say that you cannot have other books that's not really there is no ground for that. This historical Jesus have been a talk of centuries and centuries and centuries but when you study the life of this man who came with a tremendous message and he put the house of Israel in Check. He fits just like the other previous Prophet that God used to send to put the children of Israel in Check. This Jesus was a peacemaker in fact when you really look at the gospels when they try to question him with the Tanakh in the Torah he used to tell them okay so do what you just said these people was so religious yet just because you are religious if you don't follow the teachings you have no favor with your creator. I mean constantly tells them to keep the Commandments. Weather people like this Jesus or not whatever you want to call him one thing you have to admit this man was a different kind of individual and you could see how he was faithful to the teaching of the Tanakh especially the Commandments

Alot of rhetoric, but he doesn't explain the key 2 sources the Masoretic vs the Septuagint. This topic of canon must map back to those two "canons". This is a great topic for believers of both traditions, but we must go back to the sources. Dead Sea Scrolls are the most trustworthy source of extant scriptues and any discussion on the canon should include that.

As a cradle holiday Catholic I have always wanted to learn more about Judaism and Torah. I argue with Protestants on why I don’t agree with their stance; however, I am still reading and learning.
I am looking for a local synagogue to do Torah lessons and learn more. There are a lot of traditions in Judaism I am learning about that I find beautiful.
I don’t feel like I’m truly in Church when I attend Protestant churches. Recent attendance to a Catholic Church (been at least 4 years) I was rather disappointed in talking to the lady in charge of children ministry how they used the “sorting hat” from Harry Potter in the school. I fell away at 12 years old when we were forced to read Harry Potter in Catholic School. I didn’t see it as right.
    Thank you for these videos.
I am really enjoying them and learning.

A Christian should really read carefully about what is written in tenak. They need to take an unbiased view of what they think and go through the Hebrew scriptures and say oh that really isn't Jesus. Why has the church lied about it. Then they will drop Christianity faster than a speeding bullet. There's no logic in Christianity.

All Glory and Praise to Yahowah!!
The truth will always remain, the Tanakh. The New Testament is false! It is garbage and full of lies. Yet it is another test to see where our hearts will be. May all our hearts be on Him alone and forever, guarding Torah.
So glad to come out of the lies as I was a Christian. Shalom has He covered me with. Drawing near as I turn from idolatry. HalleluYah!!
    Blessings to you all.

I think the problem with Christians is thinking that the Jews are God's chosen people..This makes them care about how Jews view them..As a Christian it is so pathetic to hear a so called Rabbi trying to disprove the existence of Christ..To me it shows that they cannot hear God..To me there is no difference between a Jew and a Muslim..They are both trying so hard to believe that there are the chosen..Truth be told we are all chosen by God and we are qualified through Grace
