      Glad you like it! It was this or some sort of Moulin Rouge esque thing as he does look like he's about to start a musical number...

    Perfect choice of colour for the menhirs. I've been fallen in love with them and going to copy your choice for my model!

    Spectacular! Any plans for recording battle reports so we get to see this bad boy in action?

    • @Warhipster

      Many plans! I've just got a lot of terrain to buy, build and paint. And then have someone over to face his wrath!

    This is fantastic work, and I love the effect on the menhirs. Any tips on how to achieve this if I'm using blue rather green for my energy colour?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  4 роки тому

      Yes, absolutely You'd want to switch the colour palette over to something Like Talassar Blue, and Ultramarines Blue probably a highlight of something like Blue Horror and then potentially a really thinned down Akhelian Green or a Super thin Leviadon Blue over all of it to get it to be bluer than it is here.

    Did you just use super glue when putting everything together when it was painted and was the bond any good

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому

      Yep just a tiny dot of super glue on the toons riding the throne and it's held absolutely fine. It's been through a house move and everything.

    Mind-blowingly good looking, as usual! When can we expect a full army showcase? (goes for your blood angels too!)

      Soon! I've got some ideas on how to do this, I also need to paint the rest of the Necrons first!

    Hello, can i replace primer grey seer by leadbelcher primer for a « shiny » style ?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому

      I reckon you could absolutely do that! I'd maybe try a tester model or two first to see if you like the result before committing to it on something the size of Szarekh.

    How would you do an orange glow in lieu of a green glow?

  • @corneal35
    @corneal35 2 роки тому

    out of curiosity I tried using Volupus pink its not as smooth(brush marks) as your Akhelian Green coats, did you thin it or could it possibly just different paints?

    I love your videos but I honestly can’t help feeling like the way you apply the turquoise is such an ineffective way of edge highlighting. If you go over it, it screws it up. Seems a much better idea to highlight with incubi darkness or something

    • @warhammerdad5961
      @warhammerdad5961 4 роки тому +1

      It can create a really nice highlight, though I dont do it for everything. It can be unforgiving if you mess up. I have used etherium blue or grays etc to add an edge highlight instead for some parts

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  4 роки тому

      On something as big as him you're working with such a large area that the highlight that the Terradon turquoise provides will shine through unless you actively apply a lot of black templar over the top of it. You could highlight with Incubi Darkness or even Sotek Green for a really bright highlight but honestly with the surface area you're working with it's a lot of effort. You're right though on smaller models it can be annoying and can sometimes be counter productive. There's no right or wrong answer after all!
