Far and away the best instructor in golf. SIMPLE. SIMPLE. SIMPLE. I can understand and replicate the shots. Why? Because the tips are SIMPLE. Thank you so much Matt. You are....THE BOMB!!
Matt I almost gave up on golf but I’m all in again b/c I found you. You have helped my drives, my chipping and even my putting. You are the best!! Thank you.
Dude you have helped my game improve drastically. I started last year and by the end of the year I was shooting high 90's. This year I started following everything you said to do and now it's fall the next year and I am shooting high 80's. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Don't let this go to your head BUT you're the BEST.... I have managed these shots but never understood how I did them soooo occasionally I would TOTALLY mess them up with a shank and would PANIC because I had never analyzed my set up. You have explained the set up so I NOW I can understand what would cause those occasional errors.... thank you so much!!
Thanks Matt, you're videos inspired me to learn golf, I purchased a set of used clubs (antiques) they are Yamaha Secret professional Carbon irons. I paid $20.00 for 8 irons and refitted the grips with you're instructional video. Many thanks for your help.
I’ve ordered the new Callaway PM19 60 degree wedge. I’ve been using my sand wedge for these short. I’m new to golf and my golf coach has started me on the short game. I can’t wait to get fitted up and go try the club out. Seriously fun practicing this stuff. Most people at my local range hit longer clubs of the mats while I’m on the grass chipping. Great channel I’m getting a lot out of it👍🏻⛳️
The low shot is more foreign for me. That one is gonna take practice, but I'll put in the time because I love that shot. The high shot is something I'm pretty comfortable with already. Love this content!
Nice shot into the hole Today I just got a vokey design SM8 60° 12 degrees of bounce and D grind And I got a chip in already😂 Thanks a lot this really helped me
How would the slope of where you're trying to land it affect what shot you play? If you're landing on a down slope would you play a higher shot cause that lower shot is going to be harder to stop and vice-versa?
Great stuff Matt,I've been following your videos and I love the energy and clear explanation you add to your videos.I felt very confident when I tried the high shot and I love it because to me, confidence and good technique are key ingredients to execute a great shot. Thank you for providing those ingredients!
So.... I literally dropped my 60 and 56 degree today and used the 7 iron today, and Wholly F, it was Magic!!!! Definitely saved strokes Today, TY for the Great Tip!!!
So on the low shot. Can you play that from a tight lie? I noticed you were in some tall grass. Please advise. Thx in advance. Love the videos and the enthusiasm you deliver
I'm having a little trouble rapping my head around one of the concepts mentioned. For the low check shot, I believe you said to stand square AND open the face which goes against what some people preach. Example the flop shot or bunker shots with an open club-face AND a open stance.
@@MrShortGame not concerned about hitting it low. But if you're square with your setup, and you open the face, doesn't the ball typically go right of the target?
@@bryans.7220 when you swing around yoir body from the inside as he showed, you hit the ball with a lower handle which neutralizes the path from going right.
So .. 60-degree, M-grind and 8 -degree bounce .. for average golfer would this be a good choice for not only the 2 shots you showed but for out of greenside sand and how about that 50yd-60yd shot? i am more of a digger than sweeper
What about the short flop shot around the green ?. Can we use this method ? I'm using the throwing the hand, wide stand method and found it it hard to control the distance
Maybe I missed the video from Mr. Short Game ( Mr. coffee!!) it should be. Ha!! But I’m having my most trouble from about 4-6 feet off the green in the tall rough. Leaving it embarrassing short. Leaving me a 10- 15 foot putt. And if I hit it harder it’s anybody’s guess where it’s going to land. Any ideas besides more practice? Thanks.

Love the way you explain things simple and straight to the point.

chunked 4 shots inside 20meters today, because i forgot to open the clubface and digged in.. good thing i found your video :)

I love these kind of shots. I like the feeling of a fuller swing instead of using the clock face method to control distance/power 👍
Tried it and it works. Mind blown. Awesome. Thanks.
Most energetic videos! Love watching this dude.
Dude! The high shot advice worked great for me. Thank you. Up and downs is where you shave shots off your score. This tip will help me do that!
Glad things are working for you

I would feel more comfortable with the high shot. The lower one worries me. Will have to practice it. Thanks for the variety of shots though.
I tried both today. Really struggled with contact on the low one but did hit one good one.
I was told NEVER swing around the body but will try it out! I struggle with these 20 yarders. Chunk or knife them constantly!
Great video
Appreciate these tips, used them two days at Pebble beach and saved me big time, as I had been struggling with hitting higher chip shots!!!
Nice shot into the hole

Love your channel
So again, for the low, check shot, your lined up toward the target, but the club is open and aiming to the right of the target, correct?
I used your first shot recently and saved a few strokes, thanks!
Amazing shots! Well done!
Subbed! Great channel! Thank you!
Brilliant video. Not how I play these at all. Can't wait to give them a try.
Matty boyyyeeeeee!
great tip, I will try this. Thanks bro. All my faith in you.
How do you stop your wrists getting involved? I have a tendency to thin these type of shots as I 'flick'at the ball on impact. Great video btw!

Thanks for sharing!
is there any difference to mindset or shot hitting over a bunker or water hazard

Yes you can hit hit it low with an open face. Just not too open and you must take it back to the inside.

@@Libbyyyyyyyyyy Thank you, I guess the in to out swing path promotes a ball flight to the left also.
@@Libbyyyyyyyyyy so this is essentially a flatter swing plane going thru the shot, correct?
thanks
john
Love the shirt!!!!
Great stuff.
Thanks
Never really swung like that before. Will have to try that low checker shot tho.
I just got a RTX-3 60/9 and I'm still trying to figure it out. I'll put these techniques to the test and see what happens.

Flop is a little different but very close to the high style shot in this video.
I like it
Great stuff and it works !!!
When i try your around the body low check shot I will thin the ball more often then not. Maybe focusing too much on rotation.
Chris Berg Put a little more weight on your front foot and see if it helps.
I love the first one. I just tend to not rotate and my ball goes due south,,,,,or wherever the compass is facing lol

SEEMS TO ME YOU COULD USE A SAND WEDGE AND HIT LIKE YOU SAY AND DO OK.
I ALREADY NEED THE 14 CLUBS I'M CARRYING.
I want that shirt
depends on the lie too....
How about on tight lies !!
The silly music adds nothing and detracts from the topic. It makes it sound like you are targeting kids.

Trying to have fun and learn and be able to take it out on the course...nothing wrong with that!!
