I think it's amazing that amateur deep-sky imagers can photograph supernova events in distant galaxies. A recent supernova identified this year is SN 2024 GY in the NGC 4216 (Silver Streak) galaxy. This video shares my images, information, and thoughts.....

Thank you for all that you do. I am totally new to the hobby and absolutely enjoy your presentations. They are one of very the few on youtube that keeps my interest high as I STRUGGLE to learn the basics. Your attention to detail is most stimulating. Wish you could teach a course on image processing for beginners, devoid of the speed talk and assumptions that seem to prevail that beginners are already familiar with the language of astrophotography. It is good to know someone enjoys them as much as I like making them! I am happy to hear the videos successfully keep your attention. My style is a bit unconventional; it is more like a webinar than a video. Regarding processing, unfortunately I would only embarrass myself on that topic. I use GIMP and my own gimmicks to get the job done that might be unconventional. It works for me, but sooner-or-later I need to learn more, and switch to another software, too. Clear skies!
