- You probably love Toy Story like me, however, I think that with the release of Toy Story 4, something happened to the franchises, in a bad way. And now we will get a Toy story 5… in this video, I speak about why I think it's a bad idea for Pixar to make a new Toy Story movie.

I really am because first reason is well it’s a Toy Story film and I hope it’ll be like Toy Story 4 like Toy Story 4 made a good story and did good and it wasn’t made for money because the actors really enjoy making these movies and the other people involved in the movies and even though Toy Story 5 isn’t necessary but it would be good because there is a lot of potential for the upcoming movie and Toy Story 4 was genuinely good and it would be good to continue the story about them because Toy Story 4 had potential and it did genuinely good it gave what it had and was overall good so Toy Story 4 held up to its potential so yeah I assume Toy Story 5 will do the same so yeah I’m pretty hyped for it cause it would be good to see what would happen cause they already gave us a cliff hanger in lamp life in where they were going to go when tue carnival leaves there so I’m really excited to see it and I hope that old characters come back in it like rc or Lenny or the robot cause that would be pretty cool to see what the older characters did when they got sent away from Andy in tot story 2 cause Toy Story 2 and 3 were years apart meaning that the older characters had a lot to do while on the other hand woody and the others just stayed in a toy box for years so yeah overall I am really excited for this upcoming movie cause it has a lot of potential like tue 4th one and the 4th one help up so I hope the 5th one will do the same so yeah really hyped
@@TheDebater_EditZ i agree with you on seeing the other toys and what they have been up to sounds like a cool idea….. but i don’t think that a whole new movie is necessary for those story’s. i would rather have them making a disney plus “shorts” show, something like “cars on the road” for those types of stories

I feel like not matter how pointless and unnecessary the 5th one could end up being, even possibly being the worst of the bunch, it will win the Oscar for best animated movie of whatever year it comes out it. No matter how many other and better animated movies come out that year, it will go to toy story 5, and that’s the sad reality. (Ok let’s see how well my comment ages).

Toy Story 4 is alternate universe where the events of that’s movie happened and Toy Story 5 is continuing that universe
If Toy Story 4 was done better, this is how I would have imagined it to go: It starts out the same way as before, starting with the opening scene where Bo says goodbye to Woody. But, instead of the story following Woody, it would follow Bo. Basically, the start of the movie would follow Bo’s origin about how she eventually finds her way to the antique shop. At some point, she figures out where Woody and the gang are, and would go on a long journey to find them, encountering danger, getting help along the way from the new characters that show up in the movie, and ultimately reuniting with Woody in the end. This goes to show that Toy Story 4 could have been done right. (Sorry this is so long ;-;)
i like the idea of that! but i don’t think people would have been down for that…. i don’t think that it would have been good for them to focus on a different character than what the 3 other movies did. But i would have loved it as a toy story show on disney +

Toy story 5 will be the last Pixar movie I will see. Manly because I realize that the Pixar I knew Isn't really the same anymore. My opinion about Toy Story 4 changed heavily since I first watched it. It's bad like really bad. I want to know if they can fix their mess or the ashes of a beloved studio or will it finally fade away from my life, reminiscing of what once was.
It’s sad that Pixar lost their prestige as the best animation studio out their. I remember back in the day, whenever a new Pixar movie was announced. You already knew that it was going to be great, but that feeling is long gone.... and it’s sad

I loved the third movie sooo much! I actually went to the theaters to see the 4th, but after that any time I put it on I never felt like it was very good. I don’t really like the first, only because the animation isn’t great, and I’ve watched the 2nd only 10,000 times.
Overall I would not like a fifth one at all because I just don’t think it’s gonna make an impact like all the other movies.
It's always interesting to see how different films resonate with different people. I totally get where you're coming from regarding the animation in the first one.... but for me, it still feels so original and new.
Mmm I saw the fourth one because the third is the only before that which I got to see in cinema. Bonnie loosing interest in Woody is completely understandable given her age (I’m not just saying that because she’s a girl 😅) and stuff 🤷♀️ I did like the ending
I'm not that fond of the first movie either, mostly because the behavior of most of Andy's toys when they think Woody killed Buzz is just evil. What they did is equal to a kid abandoning his friend in the woods to be eaten by wolves because his friend accidentally punctured a tire on his bike or something.
If Toy Story 5 released Gamingmagic13 will have a field day with this one.
You don’t need to explain, we know it’s a bad idea and I’m saying that as a fan of sequels. Toy Story 5 just feels like “we fucked ip we have to bounce back!!” but everyone wants them to stop

Honestly, Toy Story 3's ending feels so much more relevant to me now as a person whos' grown up. It was as if the movie itself grew up with it's audience, showing us Andy going from a kid to an Adult going to college. It's the perfect ending to a trilogy.
I'm pretty sure Incredibles 3 and Inside out 2 (just to name a few) also may have been greenlit (from what I know they could be rumours so take it with a grain of salt) and this is only because Pixar is so creatively bankrupt; they created their Magnum Opus's and now they don't know what to do other then cash in on nostalgia.
Don't get me wrong, I like a movie that handles nostalgia well (No Way Home did it kinda well) but making several sequels (even to ones that had recently came out such as Zootopia) is blatant nostalgia pandering, and it kills the effect of the original movie.

@@sweetoil2952 If I'm being honest an end to the Incredibles trilogy wouldn't be that bad so long as it was written well.
However from what we're currently seeing, with Disney Pixar going Sequel crazy, I don't exactly think this is out of a genuine desire to cap off a trilogy.

Fr I feel a series of what the toys did between would’ve fit and not ruin the already made lore
I want to see a movie where a kid goes into a place who can make what he imagine comes true, like the Void in Wander over yonder. Maybe the kid goes there because his parents are constantly fighting and he don't know what to do to help them or his mother left and his father is in the hospital. His situation is so sad that to feel a bit of joy, he goes in this magical place. Maybe the creatures he made helped him to learn that it's not smart to run away and he can spend time with his parent. Sounds more interresting than Toy story 5. It's nice that Disney ruined this franchise 🙄😒

Woody didn't end in the wrong box, he decided to go with his friends and be with them, remember, he wrote 1225 Sycamore because that's Bonnie's house number 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. He specifically made Andy donate them to Bonnie so he could always be played with. Just like when he saw his flashback just before Andy donated them when his Mum quoted it out which made Woody think about that.

Toy Story 2-3 was definitely some my favorite movies but it definitely should’ve just ended at 3 since it was the perfect ending tbh even after I rewatch the whole series I purposely ignore 4

@@victorpoehl Not every single Disney sequel's a dud. Some of them are exceptionally well crafted and beautiful works of art. When made by somebody who actually gives a damn about a good story, they're how movies should be. Take a look at Onward. I went to see it in early 2020 and wasn't disappointed at all. But when a movie's made just to capitalize on stuff, that's when you know they're beating the living daylights out of something that died 10 years ago or more.

And everything you just said reminded me of that and where star wars has been the last couple of years…. but as we saw with the “Ahsoka show”. When it’s made by someone who actually cares for the franchise and the previous work, you can seriously feel it!

Toy Story 3 really should of been the end of the series’s but Toy Story 4 proved us wrong I really thought Toy Story 4 would put it as the ending Toy Story. 5 is to save the pixar company from dying because Toy Story 4 has a wholesome ending especially since Toy Story 4 we got to see Bo peep I know lots of people wanted to see her anyways Toy Story 5 is pushing when Toy Story 5 comes out let it be the end of an amazing series plus new actors for the potato’s to I feel like the actors are passing away so just end this series so we don’t have to hear about Toy Story 6 by the time you know it they gonna have Toy Story 10 with Tom Hank and Tim alien being the only actors left to live just end the series as a Toy Story fan it’s epic to see where this takes us but also disappointing to hear that Toy Story 5 is coming out after having 2 endings that should of ended after the third movie

A prequel would be awesome, but i think Toy story 1 portrayed Woodys character really well. With him being jealous, because he’s not the “main” toy anymore

I also think a prequel would be great. The channel SuperCarlinBrothers made a video about why Andy’s dad might be missing in the story and in that video they suggest that Andy got woody from his dad, Andy senior. So a prequel where we see Andy’s dad get woody, a collectible toy with woody’s round up being on air etc, the dad storing woody in the attic and then passing him on to Andy before he dies would maybe be interesting
If that does happen it should be a spinoff.

I felt like Toy Story 4 was like the cars 2 of the franchise it’s not good but it has its moments and if Toy Story 5 is gonna be good you have to forget to the moments of 4 kinda like cars 3 did to not mention cars 2 but I’m interested to see how Toy Story 5 is gonna be

Animation aside TS4 was just unneeded…characters were misprinted and everything from the first three was undone…honestly the only thing we got from 4 is Bo and Woody reunited…but they botched that too forgetting Bo is made of porcelain and can’t bend like a plastic Barbie
It was just a badly written movie that ruins an already perfect trilogy and the only thing TS5 could do is reunite everyone again somehow…but with how poorly they have been writing characters I doubt anything will be set right
If Disney decide to make a wholesome nuts and bolts tale about Toys having an adventure rather than a transgender toy struggling to fit into the toy patriarchy, then they might actually do far better at the box office than a 5th Toy Story film would have any real right to.

Just by watching the fourth film alone, I can even tell that the people at Pixar are sick of these movies too. The only people who want 4 and 5 are those brain dead executives at Disney because they want all the money in the world.

Am I hyped for Toy Story 5. Absolutely not! For any of y’all who have seen the sequel series of Star Wars will know with the damage done in Toy Story 4 could be compared to that of last Jedi’s impact. If I had to guess, Toy Story 5 will likely end up like the rise of skywalker, a literal train wreck.

I don't like the idea of a toy story 5 either. When I saw the fourth movie, I thought it was okay at best. Nothing outstanding but also nothing that was too bad. Just average and unnecessary. Throwing in a 5th movie is just milking a dead cow at that point.
Toy Story 4 was a nice idea and looked like a decent movie in the trailer about a fork that woody has to keep an eye on and get him back home
but the ending of the film pissed me off that woody went with Bo Peep instead of staying with the gang, i watched the 4th film 5 times trying to change my mind but i think that Toy Story 4 was Useless and i don't like the ending but if they make a comeback with Andy having cancer or a human saw a living toy can be intresting or maybe Woody doesn't like Bo Peep and he regrets being a lost toy
Who knows, I'm not working in Pixar to know the plot\script of the movie so i guess we will have to wait and see

@@victorpoehl that was Disney’s original plan with circle 7. They were gonna call it Finding Nemo 2 before it became Finding Marlin. Nemo would have had a twin brother named Remy. Marlin got captured and sent to an aquarium and Dory and his kids would have to save him.
Essentially Finding Marlin was Finding Dory, but possibly bad.

Toy Story 3 was entirely different with circle 7. There were 3 early versions before Pixar made it. One of them was a murder mystery that become Toy Story of terror. The other was Andy’s mom getting remarried. The major one everyone knows was buzz malfunctioning. Long story short, the buzz malfunction one would have been a rehash of Toy Story 2.

Your thoughts on Why Toy Story 5 is the Worst Idea is really true.
Toy Story 5 might end up like Transformers The Last Knight by mercilessly destroying and killing the franchise. Either old characters get no screen time (or worse, getting deleted from existence), new characters that aren't intesting (Transformers Age of Extinction gang did it better), a villain that doesn't make any sense, or heck even a stereotypical character with a different accent, like having a french accent that he hates; jokes that are unfunny (or even inappropriate), 80% of the movie being really boring, and easily the worst one: destroying the timeline and continuity. Then the movie ends with X Ambassadors - Torches playing in the credits. Then after the credits a teaser will show that Toy Story 6 will happen (ugh).
This is an awful idea that Toy Story 5 might end up much worse than Transformers The Last Knight for being the worst movie on being the 5th entry of the franchise. The director on Toy Story 4 is so bad that it makes Micheal Bay a better movie director since at least he cares about what the audience wants. I'm so angry at Toy Story 4's ending and the fact this awful movie won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature; which honestly Spies in Disguise or How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, or other better animated movie should've won.
So please Pixar, don't screw Toy Story 5 up. Or this will be a slap in the face and might become the worst Pixar Movie ever even worse than Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4 and Lightyear. Please end my sanity.....
I hate that the movie won an Oscar that year! i says a lot about the way the academy is looking at movies. Also i think that Toy Story 5 might end up winning a Oscar, just because it’s produced by Disney and Pixar

Toy Story 5, is the worst idea based on what ? There's no way to prove that it is, because there's no footage of it yet. There's no information about what the storyline of the movie is, so how are you gonna say it's the worst idea when you don't have anything to back that up other than what you've already seen from the previous Toy Story movies ?
as i mentioned in the video, for me the franchise ended back in 2010 with toy story 3. So when toy story 4 was made, my first thought was “that is very unnecessary”. And after watching the movie, and being manipulated by the ending. i started to see the flaws around it. And that’s why i think that the franchise would have been perfect if not Toy Story 4 was made.
For me that movie is something i see as a sign of weakness from Pixar. Trying to milk a franchise out, that started very well and now will get a fifth one. for me that is something on the level as what the Fast and furious franchise is doing. And i don’t like that comparison.
getting a fifth movie now, is the worst thing they can do for the franchise…..

@@victorpoehlOkay, but Toy Story 4 ended up the way it did due to a number of issues during its production that forced Pixar to go in a different direction with it : the John Lasseter controversy, which forced him out of his directing duties. Don Rickles who voiced Mr Potato Head died, and Pixar threw out the original script for the film when they got Josh Cooley on board etc. You can't really pin it down to just it being unnecessary.

@@victorpoehl I agree Toy Story 4 didn't do anything good, because now with this 5th movie on the way, Pixar put themselves into a situation that seems impossible to get out of, without undoing the mess that Toy Story 4 made. Pixar announced they're bringing Woody back, but HOW are they going to do that ? His back is stitched up, and he doesn't have his badge or his pullstring anymore etc. I get what you're saying now.

Sucks that Pixar’s just making more of these for money, Toy Story 4 didn’t even need to exist, and now Toy Story 5 is going to. If they can get millions off of it then it’s all good for them.
