Did you buy a new toilet seat with soft bumper stops so as not to crack or damage the surface of the raised handicap toilet seat?
thanks for very informative and brief to the point video, sans any long commentary. Somehow toilet seat doesn't lock now, any tips on that? I have tried putting one small metal washer or a bigger plastic washer on top. It is "CAREX TOILET SEAT ELEVATOR WITH HANDLES - FOR ELONGATED TOILETS"

This was so helpful. Do you remember the brand of the toilet seat you bought? I’m trying to install my riser but the toilet seat I have doesn’t holes big enough for the large screws.
Glad it was helpful. Unfortunately I cannot remember the specific brand now and the seat doesn't even show the brand on it. Most standard toilet seats should be able to work with it so not sure why your current one doesn't have holes big enough for it but, if you are going to invest in a new seat, just ensure you select correctly if it's round or elongated to match the toilet and seat riser. All the best!
Should I use a caulk or double stick tape between the toilet and the riser to keep it from shifting
Not sure the situation leading it to shift. The tightening of the washers should lead it to being very secure. If not, then depends on how permanent you intend on having the riser be on the toilet. I think you should just try double stick tape at first to see how that works other than how permanent caulking can be. Thanks for watching!
I had a stroke. Is it safe to use it to transfer from wheelchair to toilet?
Hi Lynn! I am the video poster's significant other. This seat was for me after major knee surgery. Fortunately I am also an OT! So to answer your question, it depends on the type of transfers you are doing.
The arms are not removable so if you are able to do a stand pivot transfer it is safe (meaning you are able to stand and turn without walking or able to take one step while holding onto the riser arms). If you have very good strength in both arms it also may work to lift yourself from wheelchair to seat. If you are using a sliding board transfer it is not safe and I would recommend getting a seat with a removable arm. I also want to mention that with proper installation it will still wiggle a little bit but is safe and makes life easier!
Once this riser is installed, how do you clean under it?
Unfortunately, I don't believe there's a way to clean under it other than to completely remove it and then install it again. Its purpose is to be on there and locked tightly with no flexibility. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Thanks for watching!

Is it a universal size? Did you measure your toilet before purchasing?
The main things to check on is the type of toilet seat you have (elongated or round) and make sure you buy a toilet seat riser that matches with it. Also, as mentioned in the video, making sure of the weight limit for the individual(s) that will be using the toilet seat riser. Otherwise, any riser you buy should be a standard size that will match with your toilet.
