- Here I show exactly what the multifunction switch looks like. This is a really easy fix. Any novice can easily repair this common problem with the Ford F150.

All my lights were working but no running tail lights. Found this video, changed the bulbs and then glued all the wires and and now my tail lights are good to go. Thank You so much for the insightful video; much appreciated.
Thanks a million the good Lord guided me to your video. I got my brake light fixed. There was one of the wires pulled out. I pushed the pin back in until it locked in the hole of the connector. I made sure all the other wires were secure as well. You saved me a trip to the Ford Service department and at least $300. I Thank you for your help!!

Standard motor products S662 is the part number for the pigtail, I released the terminals and used the new plug on the factory wires so I didn’t have to splice, works like a charm 👍🏻

This is so helpful spent $300 at a shop for them to tell me this and they just plugged them back in didn’t even fix the clip pieces and then a couple days later it happened again
Yeah, that happened everytime i tilted steering column all the way down. Ford did a poor job on making connecting wires to short, and as soon as i raised tilt back up my signals would work normal again. Unfortunately while trying to push loose wires back in, i ended breaking one of the wires at the connector so now i'm just going to replace entire harness and see if i can stretch the wires as much as possible without damaging them. When all lights are out. Check connector above the spare on drivers side frame rail and check frame ground.

why is the third brake light not effected?
Doesn't blink, as the brake lights do
But it’s a t20 not a t 15

@@RalfdaLau- Can I ask if you think this could be the cause when the drivers side brake light doesn't work which I have replaced but I also noticed that the turn signals don't work so I'm wondering if this could be the same thing for a 2003 F150 XLT?

You can also replace the wire harness for $8.99 . Wish my problem was so simple to fix.

The harness wasn’t really my problem. I did notice how it could cause a problem when I had to take it loose and a wire pushed back out of the cluster when I put everything back together tho. I’d imagine it would all be a matter of stripping the wires one at a time not to mix them up n attaching to new 7 plug harness. It says 15” long harness with 7 wires at advance auto parts. Part # 5686

American Infidel good luck to you. I’m not the one doing it. I can guarantee this hillbilly rigging in the video isn’t a permanent fix tho. Sometimes, most times easier isn’t always better. That’s why they have replacement harnesses.
@@traviscarr6536 actually, if you do a little research, this is the most common fix to this issue with these trucks. Sometimes, companies make replacement parts just to charge you more money, when they are clearly aware of the flaw they created, and rather than have a costly recall, they put it on the consumer to figure it out....
