- Little Anthony And The Imperials performing Tears On My Pillow (HQ)
Lyrics:
You don't remember me, but I remember you
'Twas not so long ago, you broke my heart in two
Tears on my pillow, pain in my heart
Caused by you, you
If we could start anew, I wouldn't hesitate
I'd gladly take you back, and tempt the hand of fate
Tears on my pillow, pain in my heart, caused by you
Love is not a gadget, love is not a toy
When you find the one you love
She'll fill your heart with joy
If we could start anew, I wouldn't hesitate
I'd gladly take you back, and tempt the hand of fate
Tears on my pillow, pain in my heart, caused by you
You (oh oh oh)
You (oh oh oh), you (oh oh oh)
You (oh oh oh) you (oh oh oh)

Am I the only one around here who like both oldies and "todays music"? Seriously. People act like its a sin to like one over the other.
TODAY'S MUSIC IS SHIT. PERIOD
Same
oldies are the best compared to these so called...
I like "today's music" but it just depends how much they use curse words. Like if it has 10 curse words in one sentence no. But I they have it here and there. I am okay with it
I like both, but...Most music nowadays is repetitive, and it lacks the catchiness. Not ALL of them, but the majority.
I was born in 49 . Still alive and kicking.. i remember the day this song came out ..
🥰 Me too...Born 1947 and still listening today. Thank God for all our great memories....They will last Forever.💞✌️
@@katherinegates1559 im was born in 2007 im 14 now and love this song I discovered old music by my self and im now in love with it
Me too!! A 49'er for life.. Long life to you and yours... Thanks for your post.
Me...born in 46 and how I used to dance to this beautiful song. Lovely memories 💕💕💕
You are lucky sir
Little Anthony has been sadly forgotten. He deserves credit as much as anyone for the creation of rock and roll.
I was born in 83 and grew up listening to 50s and 60s music. Friends give me shit for having these songs on my phone. They just don't know good music.
I'm 16, and my friends make fun of me for listening to this. But as soon as we get into my friends car, I take the cord and blast my Frankie Valli!
Promethean Spartan Good for you.
Same here! I'm from 85 and know all the oldies off by heart x think I was born in the wrong era!
Hi Natasha, glad to see that you're a big fan of the oldies. This is probably the greatest era of music...Peace and Love
Right on.
If you're young guy or lady and you love old classic music like this, you have great taste for music, I'm telling you 🥰
I love the old ones like Pop songs of the seventies brings a lot of happy memories to me of my teenage years much better than the new songs of the new era ones bring back the old ones of the good old days ones miles better
@@yvonnemathers Reminds me of my grandparents and there era I lost, and how I missed out on really getting to know them more when I was younger and dumber. Now I'm older, wiser, and bitter.
This group so talented. Even our son's said "Mom I love this music."
This music brings tears to my eyes because I'm the only one left out of my four brothers who used to sing on the corner back-n-the-day. Nowadays, as I drive small grandkids around, all we feel and hear are the vibrations of loud, cheap (profanity) music. Oh well, just my two cents.
Charles HOLLINGSWORTH, JR thats an awesome memory to keep charles! i agree with you though... and see your 2 cents and raise you a buck!
Charles HOLLINGSWORTH, JR Wow, I feel you brother....
Charles HOLLINGSWORTH, JR. Ah the memories the shortys singing in the class room just before bell (emerson jr high flint mich)
Charles HOLLINGSWORTH, JR > The best description of music today.......cheap!
every thing has changed since the good old days i know
I listened to all these songs when I was 12 n up...I'm 62 n still listen to this great music... Peace8
+Cathy Murray Same her, Cathy. Same here. I'm so glad I've found these oldies and am able to reflect on the pleasant memories I had, growing up, listening to them.
Me too...my kind of music n I grew up with these great songs...peace
Yes young ppl missed out on some good music! My adult kids borrow my oldie CD"s all the time n love the music...thanks. Peace
I'm glad you enjoyed it....
***** LOL omg that wasn't me it was someone else he was in my account by accident 😂 i deleted the comment
I wish that I could listen to these tunes from my childhood without crying. My wife is beginning to worry about me.
I agree. Music back in the 50's and 60's were the best! It makes me sad that all the songs on today's radios are about break ups and other meaningless things when there were REAL artists like Chuck Berry, the Beatles, and the Temptations :(
Go on, tell it like it is.
Hear, hear!
Right on.
Samara Bates You realize this song is about a break-up, right?
John Doe yeah but this song has feeling in it, get what i mean? Like you can actually feel her pain while songs like 'We are Never Ever Ever getting back together' and other stuff don't actually mean it. Sorry if it doesn't make sense. In shorter words, singers back then had the power to put feeling into their songs rather than just singing.
Samara Bates
Like you said, "singers back then had the power to put feeling into their songs rather than just singing." Now it's all effects. They all have to do the same thing and sound like the same person. They just immitate each other.
One of the finest song i ever heard! It's too bad they don't sing like that today...
These songs make me cry because they remind me of my parents reminiscing their teenage years dancing in the living room. They were soulmates and still saw acted like sweethearts. They were marrid 61 years.
I was born in the Caribbean in 1955. This is the music of my parents RIP, which I love
I wish I could click "LIKE" more than once.
I’m only 14 but I grew up listening to these songs with my family I love them it’s so much better then today’s music
I was born in 1968, I'm supposed to be an 80's kid. but my heart goes out to doo wop, and 50's and 60's Rock. I do also enjoy the 70' I listen to some 80's but when I'm alone I listen to my do wop and 1st generation Rock. and I love it and to hell what anyone else things
I am searching for and listening to all my mum's favourite songs online. I am crying as I listen to each of them. Mum RIP, I love and miss you so much
Sensational group - Little Anthony is a real diamond. Beautiful singing and harmonies.
"If we could start a new, I wouldn't hesitate.. I'd gladly take you back, and temp the hand of fate.." What a Great Era for music!
I'm your run of the mill punker in Southern California. But, I grew up with this music. Thanks mom and dad.
I was born in 2000 and I love this music!!! I first heard this song in "Grease" (one of my favourite movies) :)
The classics never die.
I was 12 years old listening to this album at my older sisters home while babysitting her children. I am 71 now and still digging there tunes.
I grew up in the 90s . I'm 30 and got damn I wish I was born earlier. Real talent and real music back then.
I listened to all these songs when I was 12 n up...I'm 62 n still listen to this great music... Peace
wow these types of songs are so great, I'm 19 and i listen to trance and rave music, but these types of songs are just so unique
Snowman. Are you still listening to 'trance'? ;-)
Though I'm 34 years,I always cry when I hear this song!
So do I
I think the 50’s and 60’s was the most romantic era in music and I was born in the 80s. I just keep imagining how it really was as a teenager back then the time in life that music and art and reading material teaches you the most about yourself.
This jam got me through a broken heart. Never gets old
am I the only 16 year old that listens to these kind of music ? honestly this the only music I listen to because it has feelings nd means something wish music was still like this 💯
same here
Nah, I listen to this stuff all the time!
+Stephanie Carrillo "look at me, I'm only 16 but I want you to see how cultured I am. Now look at my stupid twitter tag, because I'm hip too."
+Stephanie Carrillo You are not Alone My friend.
+Stephanie Carrillo you have very good taste young lady :-)
Now I am fifty years old and still touched by this song as I was when I was eleven and hidden listened to it very late at night in my bed from my radio ♥
Same Old Same Old, Even 60 years later, It's still Tears on Pillows, and Pains in the Hearts. Some Things Never Change....
Music, the universal language of all the human species and that's a fact because it makes no difference whatsoever when it was made...
Memories Brooklyn,my dad Vietnam vet, memories something that nobody can't take away, miss you daddy 🙏.
The 50s and 60s music was the best and all ways will be GREAT,,,
Awesome video.beautiful back ground song. Thanks for sharing. Stay connected.
Right I'm 15 years old and I am 100% an old soul. I was bought into this era of music by my nona. Loved it ever since
Chløe Bean same:)
Chløe Bean not the nona part 😅
That’s awesome!
I can just imagine walking down the street in 1959 Los Angeles with my portable radio on my way to school. Seeing all the 50s cars and palm trees blowing in the morning wind. Such a perfect pure beautiful time it was. I was born in 2002, but I wish I could go back.
@Idrissa Sewell Naw I ain't ): I love everyone tho, so if I went back I'd try to make a change (:
This song brings memories of slow dancing in the dark, sweating hands feeing bra straps, dreaming teenage dreams.
For me it brings back memories of being rejected.
@@MrC77 That comes inevitably soon enough.
these dudes and the Platters were probably the best groups of the late 50's. the late fifties were fun for little kids like myself growing up in Panama.
Just One of the finest Love songs of the 1950's as it is By Little Anthony & The Imperials as it is just a timeless Classic song of love as for myself and others to
This is the song my mom played when she gave birth to me in a hotel bathroom. Love it 💜💜
Hola
I love love love the 50s music. I am 18 and sometimes i wish i was born in this era just for the music
I love this song
I'm 16, and I'm addicted to old songs.
Me too but then I remember I’m both black and gay
@@TJ-fv3vt I love the music too, but I also have no interest in living in the '50s.
I was born in 1946 and this really does take me back
I'm 16 and highly appreciate this kinda music 😍❤
I’m 16 and I love oldies like Paul anka Elvis Presley temptation four tops 😖😖😖😖💔
oh yes simply fabulous!
A very Happy 81th Birthday Jerome “Little Anthony" Gourdine January 8, 1941.
Many , many more. This song will live in our hearts forever. Thank you..
I like oldies alot better then today's music. It had more thought put into it, the singers and instrument players played beautiful original songs and they've done it live. Artists back then, put the "art" into artist, and everytime I hear an oldie it's beautifully put together and that's real art.

This is a lil before my time but the quality of music is remarka, I wish they put as much in today's music as they did back then
man.
thanks so much my beloved friends
thanks also & welcome so much friend
"Pillow Grease" wtf???????
i can't imagine one person not liking this song and all these wonderful classic oldies.
Yesss, grew up in the early 20th century and grew up with 80's music from my mom then to music that was in my generation but nothing can compare with these kinda songs. Damn do I wish I can go and experience this generation. The music, the fashion, the fun, the vechiles, the innocence, the everything was to die for. I gotta say, who ever lived in the 70's century so back are darn lucky, wish I could atleast experience 1 second of it. All I got is TV shows and stories from my grandparents, the closest thing I ever get to it.
I saw little Anthony and the imperials in south San Francisco so many many years ago when I was 21 and working as a cocktail waitress they sang at the bar I cocktails at!! I had a 3 bedroom apartment I rented with a roommate and they stay overnight at mine and her place I could tell you what happened between us but believe me when I tell you it was good!!
My 12 yr old son is playing this on his piano and it is beautiful. Love this music. Love that it lives on!!
My God, these sung some terrific songs terrifically well!!
Simply wonderful and remarkable. Miss a good time that doesn't return anymore.
was living in Germany as a teenager. fell for a little girl in the next town, Pirmasens and Zwiebrucken. both Army brats. This was in 1958.....holy cow, where did the time go. I still think of you Sue Foxx
Love love love Little Anthony and the Imperials.
Hahaha 😁🤓
How I wish I would've lived during these times. I would definitely fit in more.
idk why i'm such an old fashioned person, love these kind of songs
I remember after my first heartbreak I could not stop listening to this... haha I kept it on repeat and never thought it was weird until one of my friends noticed that he had never heard this song before ever. He thought it was a Christmas song hahaha. He thought It was weird that I listened to music that was older than our parents. Once he started talking to some girl he asked if there was any "old School" songs I would recommend so he could show her his "sensitive side" hahahaha. I sent him Otis Retting "These arms of mine" needles to say....... My boy got laid!!! hahahha good solid oldies. I loved this music when I was 2 and love it at 20 and will keep loving it till the day I die hopefully my kids will to. They will literally be listening to music that will be a century old by then. If I raise my kids right at least hahaha.
The Great Little Anthony of the Imperials singing 'Tears on My Pillow'. Still sound just as awesome today.
Perhaps we do live more than one life! :D Born in -81 i always been having the 50s-60s music close to my heart! Gone so far that i have actually dreamt of past life as an artist/musican all ready as a child! :D But not so i could tell who i was! :D because i was playing/singing.. So this was at least not a person who mentally repeat their name, then perhaps i would have known who i was! :D If there where any truth to it that is... But i guess partly we all wanna belive this stuff to be true, sometimes in life! =)
Boy, do I remember this! Amazing, isn't it, how quickly everything moves? I don't know that yesterday was so sweet, but it did have a touch of youth.
Don't worry about them...friends can come and friends can go music remains in the heart and minds of people that appreciate this music
Real people like love songs.
im 5 years old and i love music from the 1800s i wish i was born in the 16th century.

One of my favorite Doo Wops!
50's classic from little anthony and the imperials timeless and beautiful. and hard hitting song too. we all had that one we wished we handled better.
💞 So thankful for all The Great Memories....💞
There is no such thing as an old soul. Our souls and spirits don't age....only the body ages and dies.
It's a term describing somebody that's really into vintage clothing, music, movies, etc.
Kay Abel or a old soul can describe people who feel they been here already
marvellous sound quality
Beautiful!!!!
YOU'RE RIGHT, MOONSTRUCK...LIL' ANTHONY WAS REALLY SINGIN TO ME KIDS!! PAIN IN MY HEART...
tears on my pillow, pain in my heart cause by you!!

This is the music that makes me proud to be black. Like how does one make such a beautiful song.
O época em que havia romantismo!!! Simplesmente maravilhoso!!! Não sei como esses jovens de hoje em dia gostam de tanta porcaria!!! Tenho pena dessa geração 😪😪😪
