I loved Sam and Dave's original. Then years later, this bombed dropped. What a duet of vocals and guitar playing. Like vanilla ice cream and hot fudge, good gawd o mighty, this sure is tasty.
My wife of 25 years bought me this CD when it came out! BB and Clapton are 2 of the greatest I've ever seen in my 60 years. I still have the CD but not the wife☺😒🐒
BB King was an innovator back in his day, he did things no one else did then I think the great guitar players of today built on what the players before them did, there are many fast guitar players that can't play the blues because they don't have the feel for it He does what he likes and many others like it as well

When I went to Memphis I went down on Beale street and I saw his night club. There were a lot of panhandlers down there and I was scared so we left. They were just all over s. actually a soul classic from stax records. written by david porter and issac hayes. they were stuck in the writing process,and it was getting late.sam moore was in the bathroom and they called him to come out. his reply " HOLD ON I"M COMING" and the song was written. Clapton and BB kill the song. Love it.
If you're referring to the fact that he doesn';t play anything ridiculously hard or anything like the sweeps, or mad solo's featured oin most technical music then yeh you're right. but the tone, feel, mood, voice, atmosphere and the general attitude he brings across to most modern blues is unique and happens to be a part of a lot of peoples lives hence why he is famous. it doesn't make him special, just a damn good musician. Actually it’s modern active incarnation of Blackie with lace sensors but yeah, conversation between them is amazing
