paying 9000$ on your debt in one month is amazing, why would that make you feel like you're not moving fast enough?

I really love it when influencers talk about their finances when it comes to being in debt. It serves as inspiration for me because I’m paying off a bunch of debt too 😭
You should feel very proud! That’s such a blessing that you are able to payoff so much debt in one month! Girl that’s incredible, you’re getting close to your goal. Every step is a step in the direction you want to go, whether it’s big or small. Just be proud of taking the step towards it.

Kayla it’s not just you! The shopping addiction affects soooo many people. I think you are taking great steps for your financial future 🥳 also Ramit, from the Netflix show, has a UA-cam channel with similar finance content that you would like, I will teach you to be rich. I find filling my UA-cam subscriptions/ig feed with finance content rather than stuff that feeds consumption is very helpful.
Call them to remove the interest they always do. I have a shopping and travel problem. This year my goal is to be debt free.
You are not alone on your debt journey! This definitely served as some motivation for myself. I’m interested in your mini series for sure 🎉
I’m really enjoying these financial updates I’m going through the same thing! I also keep trying to talk myself through using what I have up even if it’s not my fave right now so I’m not wasting it. My other problem is like instant gratification right away. When I decide I want something I’ll pay rush shipping etc because I want that instant. Please continue these updates. You’re doing a fantastic job & you’re right if we just get aggressive right now it’ll payoff very soon

GIRL I meant to comment on your last vlog but I’m SO proud of you for being so open about your finances! It’s motivating me SO MUCH because I have credit cards I need to pay off too. After I finish this vlog I’m watching that show on Netflix ASAP because my debt is causing me so much stress 😅 I need to get out of the loop of buying and paying the minimum !!!

i'd suggest watching Aja Dang. She had a whole series on paying off her debt i found super helpful
if you don’t already, add your former car payment to your current debt payments. you were already paying the car payment so you won’t miss the money.
tbh, therapy may help you bc shopping addictions are real. and how i think is, no, I can’t get new sneakers bc i have $20k in debt. lol that’s the budget. i give myself $250 a month to for fashion. i can afford $1k+ a month and my AMEX has no limit but nah, it’s called a budget. lol

Hi Kayla! I used to watch you all the time years ago and I rediscovered you today when your first debt video came up. Girl, I'm 31 and was in debt 30-60k in my 20's. I think I got myself out of debt twice before.. and I just became debt free AGAIN last week! Never again! I swear this time is it, it wont happen again! lol

girlll!! it took unemployment to break me out of my shopping addiction. i cant believe how much money i spent cuz i thought id make it back next month. i wish so bad i had that money now, lol. im like a hungry dog staring at treats in the jar i cant have!!! really appreciate sharing a realistic and RESPONSIBLE approach to finance esp as a woman media makes it out to be just a cute feminine guilty pleasure and make living beyond your means not a big deal, when its a prettty huge red zone to be in. refreshing to see in the world of hauls and drops. loved this one❤

I can appreciate these type s of videos because I just paid off my jeep a couple of years ago and have just paid off credit card debt
I just started vlogging weekly & NOT buying things just for the sake of a vlog is way more difficult than I thought it’d be. I went shopping all last week while vlogging & I was like um no this is an expensive job 💀
congrats on getting your life in order. i am dealing with a mess. i got an idea of what's going on but need proof and getting that proof seems to be impossible without proof i cant file a police report or inform the IRS of it being fraud

Girl, I appreciate Your Real adulting financial advice it's def, not boring cause these are some of my goals this year as well, and not just to spend but on things I really need and not just want of course, plus getting my credit up to that 600-700 fosureee which I know it's going to be a process but it'll be worth it!; also chic-fil-a sauce slaps but the honey mustard is sooo bomb as well

Hey Kayla you can always preload your Starbucks weekly or monthly & once it’s gone it just gone until the next upload time. That’s what I use to do for Dunkin. I would do $15 per week
I’m watched how to get rich after watching your last video. It was good information. I felt you when you said you add stuff to your Amazon cart and then save to later lol me too 😩. I let it simmer and see if I actually need it.

Good job working on debt. Make it a game. Build up an emergency fund.
As to recent videos - great job being real and showing real life. Influencer life can be hard. Masking depression is not healthy and it's ok to share your struggling. Your parents are very supportive and the love is beautiful.
This time next year you will be a different you.
On a side note - do you still have ur storage unit in LA? Not sure why that thought lives in my head but .... just a thought.
I love your motivation, I just saw your video from before. Without pointing the finger, steak and asparagus are considered luxuries in most countries.
Maybe lay off those for a good while and your debt will be gone sooner. Like I said, not to shame. Just being honest.
10:55 hard habits are def hard to break. I ask myself is this a need or a want? Is it something I’ll use on a regular basis. Also have to stay away from being influenced by social media. It’ll have you broke and in debt meanwhile these companies are making billions. Something to think about 😊
