Nice video of yaksuri black bush polder and hard working rice farmers plowing the land to feed the nation the roads here again no good maybe get a 4x4 jeep for those roads tx for sharing 😎👍
In the time I lived there, I have never seen that road as bad as it is in this video! It's amazing they don't have it fixed, but I think it's the tractor with the caged wheels that rips it, then the rain makes the holes bigger. That too bad. Everyone I grew up with are gone... the older ones have passed on, and the younger ones have all immigrated. It was so sad when I was there last time, but such is life. I have been back just once in 30 years. Hopefully I can go back at least one more time. The flat land and big sky looks like Kansas or Mississippi...
I have never been to Black Bush Polder. BBP development Started around 1957, a total of 27000 acres of swamp land was distributed by the government. The scheme was divided into four sections Mibikuri, Yakasari, Joanna and Lesbeholden. Thank you 🙏
Very interesting drive. Enjoyed seeing the rice fields with birds? Thanks for the drive very kind of you to show so much of Guyana to us.I remember those bumpy country roads very well. 😎😍😇
It's pronounced, Ya-ka sari!😊 I was born there. You went from Lesbeholden, to Mibicuri, to Johanna, past Zambia, to Yakusari, then on to #43 Village on the main road. P.S. Many thanks for the great video. You did a great job! It made me happy, and very sad too. I will show to my classmates, especially the part where you went past our Primary school!!! That was a fairly new school when we were kids. It had 22 classrooms, a teacher's lounge, huge bathroom with flush toilets for both boys and girls, a wonderful library, a large kitchen/classroom with the latest gadget and appliances of it's time, a woodshop, a large chicken farm, a fish pond, and a good sized school garden for our agricultural science practicals... When I was there last though, it was all in disrepair... The area by the "Guy oil" station is called the "Three Bridge" BTW, the Guyoil place is owned by the brother of a classmate. But, thank- you again, for taking your time to do this. 😊
