The Production Manager giving the tour is my friend, Shiv! He would always talk to me and explain the various processes and the methodology. Very interesting. So proud of him.
Great video to showcase rice which is a major agricultural product of Guyana for over 100 yrs
Thanks much appreciated
I enjoyed listening to the production manager, he's very knowledgeable about this arena....💪🏿
Thank you Guyana View for doing this video. Thank you Karibee for giving Guyana View the opportunity to record this this video. Very informative. I didn’t know about the rice process, now I do.
Thanks again to all involved in this project.
You are welcome we are happy you enjoyed the video and we thank Nand Persaud for allowing us to do the video 🙏🏽
Very educational video on rice 🍚 transformation. I remember seeing rice being milled as a kid growing up in Corentyne. It was all manual labor. Today the process today is automated and computerized. Operated on Programable Logic Controller, with conveyors transporting the product.🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
Happy to hear you enjoyed the video, yes today it’s way more advanced and it was very impressive
Great video' I remember my days working at nandpersaud rice Mill, with babulall, Sunil, darmendra, it was a pleasure working with, they great people to work with...

It was through the production manager that I learned other Caribbean nations buy our rice and we put their brand name on our rice :)
Excellent presentation...informative, interesting...provided a truly educational experience for the viewer. After having seen this presentation, my next plste of rice will be mote appreciated. Kudod to the reporting team and the rice processing plant manager.I 👍👍

Very interesting video. The Production Manager was very thorough and knowledgeable. He probably used to work on the shop floor. From Quality control, Safety and Productivity all looks well organized. Nice to see how rice is produced. Thanks for bringing us the video. (Where is the manufacturing plant located?)
Thanks yes the production manager is very knowledgeable
Location is in the Corentyne, about 3 miles from Maida, ie #36 village
Rice farming has gone to another level now compared to back in the day. At least it’s more accountability, reliable and efficient.
Yep it’s way more advanced today
Great lots of improvements in our times it was low keys equipments this is very amazing high class equipments every is well done professionally great job keep it up .
Awesome video. I wasn't aware of those processes. Thank You

Great job of explaining the way you process the grain..❣❣❣❣
Thank you 🙏🏽 we are happy you enjoyed the video
Impressive plant and operation! Unfortunately it was difficult to hear him clearly at times.
I didn't know that there was so much involved with rice production and processing. Efficient use of byproducts mentioned. Excellent. I will definitely be looking for this brand in future.
The manager spoke about testing, and safety standards. Personally, it would have been interesting to have the issue of arsenic in rice clarified.
Overall, a very informative video.
i like this video, it's nice to see how the rice is produced.
We are happy you enjoyed the video
WOW
Interesting information.
Great video. Huge production. Thank GV.🙂
You are welcome we are happy you enjoyed the video
Very nice well done God bless
Thanks much appreciated happy you enjoyed the video
Karibee rice is the best
Indeed 🙌🏽🇬🇾
I have not seen any safety guidelines there no ear plugs or eye protection.
The mill is very safe they set it up in a way where safety is their top priority
@@GuyanaView Are you implying factories in N. America and Europe are not set up safe and that's why the workers wear PPE ?
@@GuyanaView ok I am not there was watching your videos and mentioned what I saw.
2009 when i started my restaurant 100 lbs of parboiled rice was $38.00 now it's $56.00 And in the past 4 months Restaurant Depot don't have, what's the cost for 100 lbs Parboiled rice?
Great job
Thank you 🙏🏽
Excellent video. Very informative. That production manager is A1; knows his stuff. Curious: Do they have their own power plant? Where was the factory purchased? India/China? (If you do not have answers, NP)
Thank you 🙏🏽 yes the production manager is very knowledgeable Yes they gave their own power plant
@@GuyanaView I did some net surfing. The equipment is from Brazil. Nice!
These people need to wear ear plugs. It's really loud.
I didn't know that Guyana produced rice. Is the 'Basmati' rice popular in Guyana, used especially for biryanis and do Guyana farmers grow Basmati.
There are quite a large number of rice varieties (I think 2000 from a literature from the Phillipines I read).
GV. Would be nice to see how they produce sugar.
Yep we are working on that one
That is a very old Bedford truck
Those Bedford truck are noted for Guyana, they been around since I was a boy..now 55yrs,must have to be very strong trucks.
Which countries do you export your rice to?
Venezuela, most Caribbean Islands as well as some European Countries
They export to almost all of the Caribbean and to the USA
@@GuyanaView how about England? After all they took us to Guiana, they could at least help us with our exports.
@@albertroundtree299 I’m sure arrangements could be made if there’s a demand for it.
@@pauldeopersaud8542 I know Guiana exported to Colombia and Panama, but Panama still has not paid up.
Are you implying factories in N. America and Europe are not set up safe and that's why the workers wear PPE ?
He didn’t provide lunch🤝. Rice has been produced in Guyana for donkey years. The difference now is automation and some methods.

You are losing space with v type roof construction. A flat roof construction would increase square footage. The same rice for various customers; does it affect the price? Impressive. Concrete floor in poor shape. Very dusty and accumulation is a fire hazard. High tech machinery; do you have trained technicians to maintain them.
agreed construction on most industrial buildings is V
It smell stinks lord have y
YOU GOT TO PUT HOW THE COCAINE GOING IN THE RICE
