Okay, this game is actually great. We've got Guitar Hero with some extra gimmicks for the regular stages, Rhythm Heaven mini-games and Punch-Out for the boss battles. And there's a lot of new cool music, some arrangements of the Crypt of the NecroDancer songs as well as some brand new songs.
The bosses are not the hardest part of the game. On hard there's no indicators for the boss attacks, so you have to use visual and audio clues. But the timings for dodges are very generous.
In order to get an S+ rank, you have to finish the boss with a time faster than the times below:
1. Harmonie - 1m 30s
2. Deep Blues - 2m 00s
3. Matron 1m 55s
4. Reaper 2m 22s
5. NecroDancer 3m 15s
For the Reaper, you should choose the red skulls. The attack patterns of the boss will be harder, but you'll be able to land more hits afterwards (white skulls give you 2 attacks, blue - 3, red - 4).
For the Necrodancer, you HAVE to attack him when the red indicator appears and dodge his counter attack. Afterwards, you'll be able to hit him 6 times instead of just 3. Dodging his counter attack is easy, just quickly press right, left, right.

I never would’ve expected a Punch-Out game with Necrodancer’s rhythm mechanics, but they made it work.

This reminds me of another game like this, but the rhythm punch out mechanic caught me off guard.

Not really they were a villain first then got transported to another world and then became a sick and tired fast food worker which is honestly just as funny.
@andrewle4989 Why not both that's the fun of it you can think of it both ways they're a bored shitless worker that was the lowest wrong on his totem pole and decided he wanted to be a supervillain so he could gain some recognition and power he was transported to another world beaten by the hero and then had to go back to his dead end job

I agree, with the exception of the Matron's theme (What's in the Box), which may be my favorite track in the game
An hour of attempts and I'm still having a hard time dealing with Deep Blue's bishops and rooks ç.ç

Yeah, I was on the fence, but it looks like it's a buy
So im still playing the demo and noticed on the higher difficulties it starts speeding up a lot at points and was wondering if i should use different keybinds then the default arrows. If i should, what keybinds do yall use?

Bosses and minigames don't have an impossible mode version.

You think you'll ever get around to playing the games levels on impossible? Honestly id like to play the game enough that id be able to, but i think thats gonna take some time...

Hopefully the non boss fights are good because this looks like a huge snooze fest.
The boss fights and mini-games are designed more as relaxing intermissions from the main game, than a culminating challenge.
If you are concerned the main game is as (boringly) easy. Don't be. As the rifts are significantly more difficult and can go pretty hectic. Especially if one tries to beat them in Remix mode or god help them: Impossible (remix) difficulty....
@@Foxhood Nah it wasn't about it being too easy, just that the bosses really lacked punch and fun.
@@leomeyer280495Yeah, I found them the least fun aspect of the game, the base game (and minigames) were more fun imo. But I like what they tried to do at least, just felt like it needed a bit more.
Game looks great, but man I hate these generic American e-girl "voice actors", they always sound so soulless and samey, it really ruins the atmosphere of the game.
