    I have a Vito B that I bought a few months ago and I love it! I paid 30€ for mine on marketplace. I definitely agree with you in regards to getting this type of cameras if you're in a budget. Well done Molly!

      @@Eclectachrome I love using it and that 50mm 3.5 produces really great results! I usually meter everything with a phone app and as long as the light doesn’t change too much, film will handle the rest for me :)

    My grandpa gave me this camera as a gift yesterday . I never used an analogic camera before (if I'm honest I only used the phone camera) so this video helped me a lot! Thx for that

      @@Eclectachrome Well, I don't want to bother you, but I've been reading about cameras and the only thing I don't understand are the numbers that appear in red on the lens, right where the timer on the camera is. From what I see there are two nomenclatures: the German one (I think) and the American nomenclature. If you could explain to me what they are for, I would be very grateful!
      And yes, I think I would upload a video showing the photos. But I need to finish the reel first ;D

    • @Eclectachrome
      @Eclectachrome  Рік тому

      @@enrique1305 do you mean the ASA and DIN numbers? Along with ISO, they are older standards to measure film speed by so just an outdated version of ISO or film sensitivity. :)

    Great video. My dad bought a Vito B in 1957. He used it until around 1973 then he gave it to me. I used it until the mid 1980s. It no longer functions. I just bought a 1957 Vito B from a guy in Germany. It’s in pristine shape and came with a great case. The only thing I don’t like is it has the small round view finder vs my dad’s had the square view finder with the grid lines. It’s still a great little camera.

    I've only heard good things about the Vito C and, of course, the Color (Colour) Skopar lenses! Excellent results. And West Yorkshire Camera sounds like my local "dealer" Burlington Camera; incredibly hard to walk out of there without having spent some money. If you're ever in the GTA, the Toronto Film Shooters/Classic Camera Revival team of misfits will have you take you there!

    Hi! I also have this Voigtländer Vito C camera. I like the black&white images you shot and developed from yours. Question: Did you notice with yours if the take-up spool seemed very weak? Mine seems to just barely be strong enough to pull the film over the sprockets and film plane. THX!

    I have always wanted to try a Voightlander. I bought 4 and so far none have arrived in working condition. The last one was a Vitoret DR. The light meter still works, but the shutter is stuck and the range finder is way off. :( You did great with yourC.

    Hi! I've Vito B (50/3.5) that my father in law bought in London, by 1959, when he was studying there. Nice lens, maybe you should have it checked, since at wider aperture the left side of the image is always blurred. There must be something a bit misaligned.

      Hello! That's awesome, it's a great series, and nice that the camera is still in the family :) Yes, I think this was something with my scanning, I didn't have the film in correctly and only noticed it after editing (and was too lazy to redo it haha)! You've got sharp eyes there :)

    hi,i am new to analog cameras and i have a question: how do you import the photos from the camera roll to the pc or phone? i can use simply my scanner after i develop the pictures? thanks

    • @Eclectachrome
      @Eclectachrome  Рік тому

      Hiya! Yeah so you can scan the negatives after they are developed either with a dedicated film negative scanner or your phone, or you can also ask a film lab to scan them for you as well. Are you developing your film rolls at home or sending them to a lab?

    • @ireneferrari8116
      @ireneferrari8116 Рік тому

      @@Eclectachrome i’m new to this world so i’m sending it to the lab

    • @Eclectachrome
      @Eclectachrome  Рік тому

      @@ireneferrari8116 ok cool - yeah so if you order scanning from the lab along with the development, they will scan your roll/negatives and then send you the digital files, usually via wetransfer or email or dropbox :) you can also order development only and get the roll/negatives back which you can take photos of on your phone and convert them using apps like Film Lab to save a bit of money. But lab scans are really good quality and a good option if you are new to film photography! happy to help with any other questions you have!
