I REALLY appreciate that you continued to do rows - even though they were repetitions of previous rows. I needed the extra (continual) support. Thank you very much for your clear instructions.
I'm 59 and was taught to crochet by age 10 by crocheting fancy borders on ALL my mother's (and other relatives) wash cloths. And I had to make them all different and this was with that tiny cotton thread. So I've had a love/hate relationship with crochet most of my life. But I had a revelation today with your video - I NEED something complicated like this to be interesting! I need unusual! Thank you SO much! Gotta run order some yarn and dig out my crochet hooks!
The stress of COVID-19 has sent me away from academic or ministerial work and out on the patio crocheting as a form of active meditation. I realized my shortage of yarn and my need to represent this "Lock-Down" time imposed in Elder-Respectful Ecuador most rigidly on those over 60 year of age. I wanted something positive. I began asking for left-over yarn from friends. Now, I'm nearly done making a lap-robe in the style of an embroidery sampler. I have "Grannie-Style Squares" of Celtic knots, Celtic Crosses, Pentangles, and then the rest are simply exploring other options that in 61 years of crocheting (I am 73) I've never tried. This is by far the hardest for my old fingers, but may be the most beautiful. When you said, "It's a bit of a fit now!" I laughed harder than I had in years. Bless You....
Like as was posted before, I have watched other tutorials for this stitch and yours is way above the others. You are so easy to follow. Thanks for making this so clear.
I am so thrilled to see someone who holds and feeds the yarn the same way that I do! Every American youtuber that I see extends the index finger with the yarn wrapped over it. I use my thumb and index finger to hold the work as I pull through it and the yarn feeds through my hand. Just like this. And my stitches are nice and tight like this. I thought I was a weirdo. But I was taught by my Grandmother who was British, so maybe that's why. Thanks for the tutorial!
I have been struggling with this stitch for days until I found your video. Your instructions are so clear and I finally am able to figure it out and complete this beautiful stitch. This is an excellent tutorial!!! Thank you so much.....you are an excellent teacher!
I'm back for a refresher. 😂 You probably won't see this but you taught me this stitch a couple years ago and I actually got it. Now, I want to use this stitch to make a big fluffy robe so I came back to you to refresh my memory. You were one of the first channels that I started watching and I learned a lot from you. I follow lots of other channels now but I come back to you first when I can't remember something. So, thanks for all the help over the years and I hope to learn a lot more. See you soon. I wish you much peace, love, and happiness.✌🏻💐🐾🧵🇺🇸
YOU DO quite an excellent job, Laura, visually and explanatory. I’m thinking what small practical item I can make short of a blanket. I must try this as a long-term project and on my next airline trip. Thank you, love you.
OMG a fantastic tutorial !!!! U did it very efficiently and patiently . Such a lovely yarn I feel !!!!! Thank u so much for the beautiful presentation .Best wishes from Sri Lanka.
Sehr schön das Du am Anfang das Muster zeigst. Das machen die wenigsten. Morgen mache ich meine Maschenprobe. Danke für das tolle Muster und Deine sympathische Erklärung.
Could be used as a wash cloth, a head band...or a craft activity at Guantanamo Bay....I managed a 5" square...slightly advanced you say? Kudos to whomever has successfully completed a larger item in this! Well done HappyBerry Crochet!!
Although I'm nearly 60, from Ireland, living in England, crocheting a very long time and used to British crochet terminology, the American terminology actually makes more sense to me now, e.g. US single crochet = yarn through 1 group of 2, double crochet = you're pulling yarn through 2 groups of 2 , treble= 3 groups of 2..etc, etc..maybe it just that I've watched so many US crochet channels that it just stuck in my brain!
I had bought some yarn with the intention of making my self a piece, which I had in mind, but it din't work out for that stitch. And I found this one. I have tried this stitch before from others, but it was done differently. This one had the look I wanted and I'm making the back of a cardigan now with this stitch. I'm absolutely loving how easy it is, and still keeps me on my toes with my attention, which is one of the aspects I love about crocheting. :) Thank you for making this recording! I appreciate the gentleness of your weaving and the personal touch you added when you explained it. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you've got in your collection ;)
Brilliant, thank you. Your choice of yarn is wonderful as well, it’s easy you see your stitches and it’s well lit and clear. Bravo. I can now do the Celtic Weave. 🥰
Thank you for your excellent tutorial. I so enjoyed listening to you that trying over and over again was a pleasure. I am now comfortable with the pattern and I love it!
I just couldn’t get the Celtic Weave until YOUR tutorial. I read 4 different patterns, watched a half dozen videos. I made and re-made the first five rows, and ripped them back apart at least a dozen times. I left the work for months out of frustration. Then I found your video. Beautiful explanation! I watched it 5 seconds at a time, following along. By the time I successfully made 6 rows, I was bonking myself on the head! “This isn’t so hard! It just wasn’t explained well, until now!” Thank you!! I have successfully made a beautiful ear warmer headband for my niece for Christmas - exactly like the one she pinned on Pinterest! She’ll be so happy! I’m the only crochet-er she knows. Thank you for helping me to not let her down!! I giddily posted a picture on Facebook when I was half way through and I can’t tell you how many friends have hinted that they would like one too. They will have to wait! I need to make one for myself first!! ❤️❤️ Brilliant video!!
This stitch must have been invented by someone who hates crochet !!!! 2hrs later and i end up crying! As a person whos been crocheting 30+ yrs this the only stitch that has made me cry, so huge hats off to all of you who can do this amazing stitch. Xx
...thanks a lot for your very understanding video...I was looking for an explaination for that stitch, but didn't found neither a good video nor a good presentation...I've alreay done eight rows last evening...now I go to sleep 😄 I'm sooo happy, thank you thank you thank you 🙏😘 greetings from Caorle - good night - Manuela
Omg, you crack me up! Thanks for the out takes! I tried this stitch watching a different tutorial and made a mess! You nailed the instruction, super excited!!!
I wish I could send you a picture of what I've done so far, it's beautiful! I'm making a baby blanket in all white for my grandson's blessing. Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial.
A beautiful stich, and having pulled it out twice at the second row, patience paid off and I successfully managed it! Where as I will definitely use it as a headband/headwarmer I would hate to use it for anything larger 😉
Your a good teacher. Love the way you describe the stitch issues as you get to each one. Looks great. That color in nice as it comes across as bluish green.
Laura, thank you so much for this beautiful stitch. Once again, I love the way you explain everything so calmly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your peaceful soul. Lots of love. :)
Amazing! I'm a beginner with no patience so instead of starting easy my mind goes "oooooh i wanna do that!" Thanks for teaching me this technique. Really good video, good speed and you talking me through it was very helpful. Appreciate it❤️
I apologize for not finding you sooner - absolutely don't know how that could have not happened - LOL! I sure am glad I came across this post today - so beautiful and such a brilliant tutorial! I am sorry that your camera corrupted your first video, I know the time and effort it takes for you to make a tutorial to share with us all. I thank you for your talent and time you so generously share. I am a subscriber now and will do my best to follow you on all your platforms. You do an absolute wonderful job of explaining everything and showing each stitch. Many, many thanks.
This is my first time doing this stitch. Wow it's not easy but like you said once you crack it you got it. Thank you. Making my sister a scarf so far. She also wants a headband like you suggested🙂.
This was the best tutorial for me, thank you very much for continuing more rows. Even though the concept was an easy one, getting the second row and starting the 3rd one, my brain stopped! As you can see this continuance was totally appreciated😊, well done!
Have to say, the back post row is so much easier if you can put your ambidextrous hat on and with right side facing work from left to right in the front posts. This way you can see what you are doing. Lovely pattern though and explained really well, thank you for sharing.
You somehow managed to make an incredibly complicated stitch completely understandable! Wow. Thanks so much. Just seeing it written out I wouldn't have been able to parse it, but your patient working makes me think "oh, I could do that." Sorry you had so many camera issues, though. Hope you get it well sorted soon.
Just starting out crocheting and I can follow along what you were doing but I'm sure I could not do it if left on my own lol. Love the bloopers at the end. Sorry you had so much technical difficulty!
Oh thank you!!!!! I spent HOURS trying to do this in a pattern yesterday; I've never been this stumped before! She kept saying, go behind the stitches, but I wasn't going from the front, into the stitch from behind, I was going behind, into the stitches! Wow, what a mess! I was so depressed, lol!
Thank You!!!! I was ready to abandon this stitch but decided to give your video a go and your style got it through to my brain! You saved my mother in law’s Christmas scarf 😂😂❤️. Love from Virginia
I have been looking for a Celtic knot or weave stitch for a pretty little yarn I found. I absolutely enjoy watching you work and the way you explain it all makes it easy enough for me to try it. I think it's funny how I am always drawn back to you whenever I am looking for a new stitch, that just means that your are obviously doing something right. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us! And, it's amazing how you can make something that looks impossible into something that is possible with your spoken instruction. You are amazing and I am looking forward to finding more videos from you! 👑👑👑
Beautiful!! Someone asked me to make her an afghan using this stitch. I watched this video (which was very good!), I decided that she couldn't stuff enough $100 bills in a school bus to pay me to make this.
I love to learn and make things with the more difficult stitches because it shows that I have enough brain and patience/commitment to finish it...you can't buy the immense satisfaction of finishing a difficult project!!! It was the biggest challenge for people with "startitism" (creative people who love to start new projects but find it difficult to finish (mostly because they find it boring after awhile) before starting another project...usually ended up with a bunch of unfinished things...and not only in crocheting), but with practice in the long run I managed to (kinda) get rid mine. Now I only have 2-3 projects at most in the same time. 👍👍 So thank you for the brilliant and clear explanation to do this stitch in a video! ❤❤❤ PS: It's been a long while since I've heard that "chekedet chekedet chekedet" interruption sounds in cellphones (people in my country used to call it "crisscrossing signals")...kinda nostalgic... 😆
lol I think it's because I live in such a poor signal area and when I forget my phone is nearby when recording it is constantly connecting and disconnecting from nearby signals
Wow. My brain hurts. 😳 That stitch is complicated, and yet I can't wait to try it! As another commenter said, though, I'll have to try it when I'm in the right frame of mind (for me, more awake and fully caffeinated!! 😄) Thanks for an awesome tutorial! 👍
This is by far the easiest explanation of how to do the Celtic Weave I have ever experienced and I have been crocheting for a long time.. Thank you ever so much!!! Let's see how many stitches would need to be for a baby blanket. I'm thinking a few more than the usual because the Celtic pattern scrunches up somewhat in design.
Thank You for the video. I think, although your instructions were clear, that it was a little difficult to follow along with because you appear to crochet very tightly and seemed to using a small hook size. It would have been easier for some of us,I think, if a larger hook could have been used and a looser tension??? I did follow you with4.00m, hook and sock yarn (as that looked like what you were demonstrating with and I tried to crochet with a tighter tension (like you seemed to be using...as I thought it might be important for the overall look of my swatch).. ended up using a 5.5 and double knit weight yarn and my own looser tension. That worked well.
Wow...Great channel! UA-cam recommended you so I took a look at your video collection. You have a great library of stitches that will be helpful to me, but I also adore your blanket roads and landscapes for the little ones. Such a cute idea! Thank you for sharing, I’m now follower❣️
Absolutely loved it! At first i thought it a bit too complicated but once i started doing it and following along it didnt seem as complicated after, thank you so much for doing the tutorial, excellent!!!
Love watch in my new stitches will prob never try this one...but I said the same about making a mendala with crochet...only took me a year to get up the nerve. Lol...thanks for the video ...
I may be friendless but at least i know how to make a celtic weave at a young age >:) Jokes aside you explained really well i made a blanket for my mom and she loved it :D

This stitch definitely keeps my mind off the troubles of this crazy world. Actually a fun stitch once I wrapped my brain around it! Thanks!

omg, this is certainly a stitch that needs a video - thank you so much for such a great tutorial!
YOU DO quite an excellent job, Laura, visually and explanatory.

You are an excellant teacher. Explaining every stitch.
OMG a fantastic tutorial !!!!
U did it very efficiently and patiently .
Such a lovely yarn I feel !!!!!
Thank u so much for the beautiful presentation .Best wishes from Sri Lanka.
Your video is the best I have watched. I have watched six others and yours are the clearest of all. Thank you for your video.
Sehr schön das Du am Anfang das Muster zeigst. Das machen die wenigsten. Morgen mache ich meine Maschenprobe. Danke für das tolle Muster und Deine sympathische Erklärung.
How impressive was the demonstration, I really got hooked, thank you kindly.
Love the UK and American terminology. Allows more people to understand
So appreciate you sharing your skills. I was thinking this would be impossible but you taught it so well. Thank you.
You are so welcome! Glad it was helpful
This is a great tutorial, you explain very slowly and clearly. I watched it an entire day to understand and I can finally do it ! Thank you :)
Could be used as a wash cloth, a head band...or a craft activity at Guantanamo Bay....I managed a 5" square...slightly advanced you say? Kudos to whomever has successfully completed a larger item in this! Well done HappyBerry Crochet!!
Holy moly... Thank you for explaining everything so clearly!!!
This is an adorable stitch...
I actually learn this stich from this video.... you are an amezing teacher....very clear instructions
You are a great teacher, I have seen others teach. I have learned from you....thankful
Well done video instructions!!! You took the complicated out with you clear, articulated dialog. Ty

I think you had a few phone calls through recording this, as the Mic was picking up the signal!😆
Just a bad signal so w hen my phone was close it was constantly connecting and reconnecting, so sorry about that!
I had bought some yarn with the intention of making my self a piece, which I had in mind, but it din't work out for that stitch. And I found this one. Thank you for your excellent tutorial. I so enjoyed listening to you that trying over and over again was a pleasure. I am now comfortable with the pattern and I love it!
Lovely stitch and as a visual learner I would have found it so hard with just a written pattern. I feel a summer scarf coming on.
I just couldn’t get the Celtic Weave until YOUR tutorial. I read 4 different patterns, watched a half dozen videos. It's so beautiful . Clearly demonstrated as always . Thank you for the brilliant effort . God bless you !
I really like this stitch and you make it easy to follow you. Thank you so much.

This is a great tutorial! Thank you for taking the time to record and post this. It has helped me tremendously.
This is a complicated piece but I will give it a try maybe make a washcloth. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
A beautiful stich, and having pulled it out twice at the second row, patience paid off and I successfully managed it! Where as I will definitely use it as a headband/headwarmer I would hate to use it for anything larger 😉
Wow what a stitch! But beautifully explained and shown
Your a good teacher. Love the way you describe the stitch issues as you get to each one.
Looks great. That color in nice as it comes across as bluish green.
Actually. this is brilliant manipulation and arrangement! Love this.
What a fun stitch. Im goong to see if i can work this into my sampler blanket, my current project, cheers
I really appreciate your videos - clear, complete and oh so sweet!
Laura, thank you so much for this beautiful stitch. Once again, I love the way you explain everything so calmly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your peaceful soul. Lots of love. :)
Thank you for the nifty little truck about coming in from the back side of the skipped stitch for easier stitching
Glad it was helpful!
❤I love this pattern and you taught it so well. Thank you very much!
Amazing! I'm a beginner with no patience so instead of starting easy my mind goes "oooooh i wanna do that!"
Thanks for teaching me this technique. Really good video, good speed and you talking me through it was very helpful. Appreciate it❤️
This is a really good tutorial for a tricky pattern.
You explain this so well, Thank you. I could understand everything you were talking about.
Thank you, your directions are slow and make it very easy to follow. Love this design

So beautiful. I am not sure if I will give it a try. The instructions were very clear. Thanks

I finally made it. Thanks to your excellent explanation . Thank you ❤❤❤
Just awesome!!!! Love your simple and clear instructions😍😍
Thank you so much for working and showing the steps all the way through. I think I got it now by watching your video.
It's great to see a stitch explained so beautiful and clearly, just the right speed for once. Thankyou so much, will sign up definitely. X
Just starting out crocheting and I can follow along what you were doing but I'm sure I could not do it if left on my own lol. Love the bloopers at the end. Sorry you had so much technical difficulty!
Excellent joy teaching us to do this stitch. Thank you!
Thank you for your fantastic explanations!! Your work is beautiful. ♥️
I love this and have made 2 scarves from it. Thank you.❤❤
Oh thank you!!!!! I spent HOURS trying to do this in a pattern yesterday; I've never been this stumped before! She kept saying, go behind the stitches, but I wasn't going from the front, into the stitch from behind, I was going behind, into the stitches! Wow, what a mess! I was so depressed, lol!
Great video, definitely one you need to get in the right mindset for. Thanks for sharing!
Thank You!!!! I was ready to abandon this stitch but decided to give your video a go and your style got it through to my brain! You saved my mother in law’s Christmas scarf 😂😂❤️. Love from Virginia
That's awesome!
😂😂😂
I love to learn and make things with the more difficult stitches because it shows that I have enough brain and patience/commitment to finish it...you can't buy the immense satisfaction of finishing a difficult project!!!
It was the biggest challenge for people with "startitism" (creative people who love to start new projects but find it difficult to finish (mostly because they find it boring after awhile) before starting another project...usually ended up with a bunch of unfinished things...and not only in crocheting), but with practice in the long run I managed to (kinda) get rid mine. Now I only have 2-3 projects at most in the same time. 👍👍
So thank you for the brilliant and clear explanation to do this stitch in a video! ❤❤❤
PS: It's been a long while since I've heard that "chekedet chekedet chekedet" interruption sounds in cellphones (people in my country used to call it "crisscrossing signals")...kinda nostalgic... 😆
lol I think it's because I live in such a poor signal area and when I forget my phone is nearby when recording it is constantly connecting and disconnecting from nearby signals
Love how you say "Treble" & "Hidden".
I have yet to be brave enough to try this.
Wow. My brain hurts. 😳 That stitch is complicated, and yet I can't wait to try it! As another commenter said, though, I'll have to try it when I'm in the right frame of mind (for me, more awake and fully caffeinated!! 😄) Thanks for an awesome tutorial! 👍
C'est vraiment très joli et très bien expliqué. Merci beaucoup 🌷 Florence
Very interesting, Looks quite complicated, but at the end it looks quite neat.. I’ lol have try ..
Hi you are very clear in your instructions. And so neat
Thank you
Absolutely gorgeous stitch!!! I'm familiar with all of the stitches and hope I can pull it off!
You described and explained everything about this stitch clearly. Thank you for another adequate tutorial ❤
I can’t believe how easy this stitch turned out to be!! Thank you for posting:)!
Awesome looking patterns, you made it look completed, but do able. Don't think I'm ready to try it yet. Thanks for showing us.
You take what you can from my videos 😅
Wow...Great channel! UA-cam recommended you so I took a look at your video collection. You have a great library of stitches that will be helpful to me, but I also adore your blanket roads and landscapes for the little ones. Such a cute idea! Thank you for sharing, I’m now follower❣️
Clear tutorial but I would have to have the right mind set to try this and perhaps you can be sitting next to me on the sofa. Thank you. X
Absolutely loved it! At first i thought it a bit too complicated but once i started doing it and following along it didnt seem as complicated after, thank you so much for doing the tutorial, excellent!!!
Love the way you explain and loving this exciting stitch to make a wrist bracelet 😎💕 thank you Happy Berry 👌🏼
Being a beginner this is a pattern I will aspire to! So beautiful!
Excellent explanation and super helpful tricks! It only took me an hour with your video to get this! :3
Love watch in my new stitches will prob never try this one...but I said the same about making a mendala with crochet...only took me a year to get up the nerve. Lol...thanks for the video ...
I love this! It will be the perfect baby blanket for my expecting friend. Thank you for your humor and guidance with this video!
Oh this is so so beautiful I love it. A shawl in this in fine Marino would be amazing
