Rastop ❤ I've had a FX62 Bass Stereo Chorus since 1992 and the switch wouldn't trigger the effect or it would just stay on using the AC adapter. I kept it for sentimental reasons the last 10 years and I've never fixed a pedal in my life. Until seeing your video to learn how to take it apart. I played around working the switch on battery like you did (never worked on battery recently), plugged into a guitar. The effect finally connected, the light, everything. It took perseverance, but had I not see, how you took it apart, I would have given up. Mine had a white card between the metal cover and the circuits which you taped up to prevent shorting out. I just did 'trial and error' after watching you do more-or-less the same. Thank you.
I've got a dod fx25 and was wondering if a switch could cause the effect to distort? I know the fx25 has a bit of distortion but this one seems to have more than usual. Also mine does have a plastic cover between the components and the bottom plate. Yours is missing it.

Glad it helped!
The lights were on... but no one was home 😂!
Thank you!!! I had a similar problem and your video helped me solve it.
Thank you
Do have any suggests on how to fix a foot switch that never toggles the effect on a DOD death metal fx86? Min is always on.

Hard to tell...
Yup mine has a plastic cover between the backing plate and the components.
