Called you guys at the beginning of the year for a return because I had to sell the bike, good thing I never returned it. Just bought myself the same model Daytona 😂
Ah! I always wondered, on my 765rs, whatever happened to the big ass old school oil cooler! Didn't know it was a round item tucked in there. So informative!
Your 765 should have a much prettier looking one if it’s the same of the 13+ Daytonas! It’s kind of square with fins machined into it like this one, but also with hoses to the cooling system. Should be in the same spot!
In januar 22 I got the cooler on my 07 Daytona 675 (street) aswell, the bike do not get as warm as it was before so it is working really fine..got the servo and the o2 sensor removed, dyno tuned, got all i needed from UKRS 🤘 Great video..
Thank you for this video! And also a major THANK YOU for your valve adjustment video as well! I have a question unrelated to the oil cooler: What are you reinstalling at 12:49? My 2012 675r does not seem to have that...
@@Thesteed49 you're welcome! Glad these have been helpful 🙂 That is part of the evaporative emissions system that comes standard on the bike. Might have just been a California thing, but it's also very common to remove it.
I'm curious as to why you still have the servo moto on your exhaust on a race bike. Thanks for the installation videos. I always watch them and thoroughly enjoy the attention to detail.
Hey Johnny! I just haven’t prioritized removing it. The bike has a slip on but I still run the stock filter and tune. Trying to get to the point where I’m having trouble cutting time on the brakes and in the corners before I focus on power. Thank you for watching! I always appreciate you dropping a comment on these and am glad you enjoy them. 🙂
I've been wanting to do this and a cat delete. Might as well do it at the same time. You should definitely ride yourself of the EXUP valve and 02 Sensor while at it and tune off with Tunecu
This would be the time to do it! It’s something I have considered but I decided against it for now. I’m racing at Laguna Seca later this month and they have sound limits, so will be nice to head up there and know I won’t have to worry about being black flagged. Maybe in the future though! I have been trying to focus more on my technique and corner speed for the time being, but power would definitely help.
Oh it definitely does. I've finally done everything myself. Cat delete 02 removal exup removal sai removal all of that. I have an 06 daytona scorched yellow and she's definitely got the low end power now. Also did a 520 steel sprocket and chain conversion. Definitely a good setup
@@AkashDingare 😂 I have flipped front slick tires before without issue though. Might as well get the most out of both aides if you’re going the same direction all weekend!
Great video and thank you from us here at UKRS.
Thanks Simon! Appreciate you guys checking this out. The cooler has made it so far, including through multiple races in 100F+ temps.

@@hiimchad sadly, the 765 has left the building to make room for something more super sporty :)
@@greyanaroth ah like a Tuono V4? 😜
@@hiimchad hahaha maybe the tuono will be saved for later. For now, looking at an 899/959
@@greyanaroth nice! I rode a 959 once. Very fun bike!

@@hiimchad Ah yep that would definitely have been removed. The bike i have has been a track bike since day 1. Thanks!
Useful video thanks, I’m about to build my Daytona track bike up from scratch

Great video. Watching this as I now enter the garage to remove mine as think the o ring has failed. wish me luck !
Best of luck! 🙂✌️
Is it possible to do this without removing the headers
First? Love the videos!
First indeed! Thank you! And thanks for watching! 🙂
Real noob question but why has the oil filter got a jubilee clip around it ?mine had the same and couldn’t work out why cheers
It’s to lock wire it to the bike, minimizing the chance it will come loose and leak oil. It’s required to pass tech inspection for racing. 👍
@@hiimchad ah got you that makes sense thanks for the reply 👍
Is your front tyre installed incorrectly? 😅
It wouldn’t be if it had tread! 😂 Good catch!
