Thank u thank u thank u!! We are all booked for a summer Alaska Cruise out of Vancouver but I was shocked I thought we would easily get a hotel. Well my first 4 choices are 500 to 700 a Night and that's not even with taxes yet. Wow was I surprised then average Hyatts and Hiltons and Sheridan all 350 to 500 a Nighy without taxes. We aren't planning on being in the room at all the real vacation is the cruise so I agree I can't justify it. Anyway this was great I will check them out I appreciate all your details and honestly on the hotels it will help withbour decisions. We noticed the casinos are about 300 to 350 so almost considering. We have subscribed to your channel for more great ideas and to check out your cruise. In Vancouver you don't need to use a taxi from the airport to the cruise port area, the sky-train gets you there from the airport safely, cleanly, easily and cheaply, everyone takes it. The sky-train goes from inside the airport to waterfront station (the port) directly every about 5 minutes, and you can use it to get around the city as well. Vancouver is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in, which is why hotels are expensive

We considered that but I prefer taxi when I have kids and luggage. I'm all for public transit but trying to keep track of both, and I prefer taxi.
We did use the Sky Train post cruise for getting around. The views were gorgeous!
I read that the downtown days inn was close to their rail station.
It wasn't far, we didn't use it to get into town.
