- After installing a top and bottom end in my yamaha rhino, it actually cranks. Unfortunately, it has a screeching sound which i believe to be the one way bearing or starter. Any suggestions?

Great video. First time UTV owner and I bought an 06 660. Interesting to watch as I know very little about UTV's. 48 years on heavy equipment, when we change out many parts they probably weighs as much as the 660.
I appreciate your style describing the teardown, i have an 06 rhino 660 with the reverse gear out of it so ive been trying to find vids that are informative, this one is!!
THANX
I’ll watch some others. I just bought an 06 like yours. It was in a lot better shape and hadn’t been snorkeled. Been pretty well taken care of but I like watching these kinds of videos.
Yes waiting on it running on the trails also.
Congrats and good luck with the rhino.
This vid has a lot of random and older clips as I’ve been filming this for a while. Sorry if it’s a lil confusing!
You did a good job with that rebuild. It would really help if you gave a breakdown on the parts cost and also did you fix the noise?
D Johnson I will make a price break down video whenever I get time for sure. And yes, I fixed the sound. It was a bad oneway bearing on the flywheel. I guess it would be considered the starter one way bearing.
Did you good on the side by side
Noise sounds like the solenoid isn't disengaging on the starter. I could be wrong, just a suggestion. Good job on the rebuild though, like to see it running and driving to see how she does for you.
Thanks! Kind of what I think is wrong with it. Either that or the on way bearing...
@@ramenbuilt6411 Yeah I know this comment is old and I have not checked all the comments to see if you already found what it was, but I instantly thought it was the solenoid locking on and keeping the starter gear meshed to the engine.
I like the couple videos I've seen, I subscribed just for the Rhine videos! :)
These rebuild videos are awesome
Thank you for your video. Good job! Can you comment on how you disconnected the driveline when you removed your engine. Thanks
I unbolted the front diff and and moved it toward the front of the rhino. That pulled the front driveshaft out the front of the engine. Then unbolted the motor mounts moved the engine forward a tad and lifted it straight up.
@@ramenbuilt6411 Thanks
Watched all 3 videos. Great videos. Liked and subbed. Cant wait to see it running
Thanks! It is running good now. I’m just having a hard time finding time to make an update. It will be coming soon though!
@@ramenbuilt6411 Good Job!!!
What at 3:13 there is a bearing and a spring where do they go it came out of mine as well
Hola tengo uno igual y no se como poner en tiempo la cadena y damper
Getting that motor out was a bitch, right? We did ours a little over a year ago and that was the hardest thing we’ve done involving our rhino. Good vid bud.
TXMD Original It was pretty bad. More awkward than anything to get it over the bars of the chassis. Notice that part wasn’t filmed lol.
Enjoyed your video.
Just FYI thats a 660... rhino 700 are all fuel injected.
It’s actually a 450👍🏼
Good content got a new subscription
yes more
Any luck on figuring it out yet? Good luck.
I haven’t really tried since the video. I believe it’s the starter one way bearing.
Good job bro
Want to see more please
I’ll have a video uploaded at some point of me installing axles. I’m currently trying to get a new project side by side that I think will make great videos as well.
How hard would it be to put a stator in while it's in the rhino. I'm having charging issues
If you have basic mechanical knowledge is shouldn’t be too bad. You’ll prob need a flywheel puller however if you don’t already have one.
How much did it cost to rebuild this engine? Looking at maybe buying one with a crank bearing gone.
Lance Marchand the last video of the rhino on my channel explains the price break down. It was around $500 or so I believe for the kit plus some odds and ends.
Ramen Built thank you for the reply!
