I got fed up after replacing the vacuum pump a couple of times and no fuel draw. Installed an electric fuel pump low pressure from Amazon and now it starts every time. I do have a large fuel filter coming from the tank and a smaller one just before the carb. Starts even in the cold even with no choke. Before this, even with starting fluid (ether) it wouldn't start. Now I run only ethanol free gas as well. A litlle more money but makes for peace of mind. Debris floating around in your tank can cause havoc with plugging fuel lines as well.
@@OptimisticGarage Hi 👋 admin for the largest rhino group in the world here. yes, the vac pumps lose prime all the time (drains fuel lines back into tank, so when you go to start, theres no fuel) and cranking long kills batteries, Wich will mess with the cdi. dominos. a facet low pressure fuel pump is good. anything 3psi or under (dont reslly need pressure, 1ish psi is plenty). if carb leaks fueo after, theres a bad oring that needs replaced. Black Rhino Performance makes a nice kit, that uses the facet pump. elec pump & a good cca battery is world of a difference on cold starts. aftermarket cdi will also help, across the board.
@@OptimisticGarage they also have a carb heater wich can cause cold start/cold temp running issues. and a roll over valve in the gas tank, if its malfunctioning, it will not draw fuel. because it cant. that valve is what plugs into the cage behind passenger seat.
Question put new battery on my rhino had been driving it then just stopped want start that's when I. Change battery. Other just dead would hold charge. OK battery in all get is click click . What do suggest next
If your battery is good and you can bring it to local auto parts store to have it checked. I would check your connections from battery to starter. Sounds like a bad ground connection. Clean any corrosion with wire brush or sand paper. Even the slightest rust will stop from turning engine over
Any non detergent oil. Weight not as important. Non detergent lubricating oil won’t foam as much. Any oil Jaso ma certified is best. Regular 10-40 will get you by short term if needed.

I have an old hose and primer bulb from a boat. Gonna throw that on it I think. What model fuel pump did you go with on yours?
@@OptimisticGarage It was just a low pressure, 2-4 pounds pressure pump from Amazon. Make sure it is low pressure and not above 4 pounds.
Add an electric fuel pump with the older machines the vacuum fuel pumps always lose fuel pressure.I had to do it to mine haven’t had a problem since
I was wondering if that was part of the hard start issue. 🤔 thanks. What pump did you go with?

Will any 10-40 engine oil work?

Yamalube is recommended , it has additives for the transmission which shares the engine oil .
NEVER put automobile oil in atv or sxs with a wet clutch. It has addtives that will kill your clutch
Thanks for the info
Agreed 👍
