Textile upcycling for mycelium composite leather growth tutorial | The Purhyphae Project

For my final project at Fabricademy barcelona, FabLab BCN, I explored ways of upcycling textile waste using fungi and more especially their mycelium. This video is a tutorial on how to make a composite mycelium-textile, using textile waste as a substrate for the mycelium growth.
This tutorial explains how to make the composite leather step by step in a DIY way, accessible to all, hoping people can make their own materials at home and explore new ways to upcycle textile.

Why does Co2 increase growth of the mycellium? Couldn't we just breath into the incubator to achieve this?

Lol 😂😂😂 c02 doesnt promote it is a heavier gas and it makes a layer above mycelium which it tries to cross and gain oxygen and it grows more in the process mycelium doesnt use co2 for respiration..

And no breating wont do it instead you can mix baking soda and vinegar. It will produce co2
