Maybe BvS takes top spot purely because it's been a victim of studio meddling and unnecessary hatred due to it being released during peak MCU hysteria, but Watchmen struggled at the Box Office and didn't get much love till around 2017 as far as I can tell... It's definitely close between the two.

Could do without all the extra gore but hell it’s still 1000x better than most superhero movies today. I guarantee you if this film came out today it would be revolutionary.

I remember watching this at age 11 with my pops at the theater. The language, the sex, the story, the fights. All majestic. Then afterwards we realized that the movie is Rated R. Then my pops said," Wanna watch it again?" >:D I think he was a bit drunk or high at the time. Good times....good times....
First rated R movie I watched in theaters. I had no knowledge of Watchmen before seeint it, but being a kid who loved comics, I wanted to go see it. Man, I wasn't sure exactly what I watched, but I knew it was something special. Now I've watched this movie a dozen times, and it's just one of my favorite superhero movies of all time. Snyder did a pretty amazing job adapting the graphic novel. Some changes, yes (Alien Squid, but apparently that may have been because of a lawsuit? Look into it, wild!) but man the cast & visuals are near perfect. After watching multiple videos on the Watchmen movies we nearly got prior to Snyder's, this was definitely the most accurate to the comics. I'm glad Dave Gibbons has defended this movie over the years, I do wish Alan Moore wasn't so jaded to the comics industry, but you can see his side too, I suppose.
This has to be the greatest trailer ever. I remember seeing it for the first time. I didn't have the slightest clue what Watchmen was but after seeing this I knew I had to. I bought the Book and read it the next day. Perfect song for the trailer and the scenes synch perfectly with the words.

I remember the first time I saw this in a theater. I had no idea a Watchmen movie was coming out. Five seconds in, I thought "Wow, it actually looks like Watchman". It took several more seconds to sink in. Phenomenal trailer, phenomenal movie, especially the Director's cut.

I remember I watched this trailer in 6th grade with my class, and everyone was shocked what we were seeing.

Read the book. It’s much better. The move sucked. That second scene red ridiculous and not in the book. All the pointless random gore was not in the book. The ending of the movie was totally different from the book and made absolutely no sense. Zack Snyder is the worst director in history. He’s oneself with sex and violence. He also added random explicit sex scene to 300 which is also not in the book. He’s awful. This movie is awful. His daughter died to get away from his creepy ass.
One of the best superhero graphic novel based movies of all time, it really gives the 80s the modern dark noir feel to it.

As a kid I saw this trailer for the first time in theaters before seeing The Dark Knight, and I remember my dumbass thinking Dr. Manhattan was supposed to be Silver Surfer (he's blue, Idk why my child mind thought this), but then the Watchmen title popped up and I was confused but immediately intrigued. Still one of the best trailers I've ever seen.

First rated R movie I watched in theaters. I had no knowledge of Watchmen before seeint it, but being a kid who loved comics, I wanted to go see it. Man, I wasn't sure exactly what I watched, but I knew it was something special. Now I've watched this movie a dozen times, and it's just one of my favorite superhero movies of all time. Snyder did a pretty amazing job adapting the graphic novel. Some changes, yes (Alien Squid, but apparently that may have been because of a lawsuit? Look into it, wild!) but man the cast & visuals are near perfect. After watching multiple videos on the Watchmen movies we nearly got prior to Snyder's, this was definitely the most accurate to the comics. I'm glad Dave Gibbons has defended this movie over the years, I do wish Alan Moore wasn't so jaded to the comics industry, but you can see his side too, I suppose.

This has to be the greatest trailer ever. I remember seeing it for the first time. I didn't have the slightest clue what Watchmen was but after seeing this I knew I had to. I bought the Book and read it the next day. Perfect song for the trailer and the scenes synch perfectly with the words.

I remember the first time I saw this in a theater. I had no idea a Watchmen movie was coming out. Five seconds in, I thought "Wow, it actually looks like Watchman". It took several more seconds to sink in. Phenomenal trailer, phenomenal movie, especially the Director's cut.

Still my favorite comic book movie of all time. Even though the movie is a visual marvel, I have to admit that the color grading in some of the shots from this teaser looked even better than they did in the actual film.
