One of the best, easiest to follow walk-throughs on any subject I've seen on UA-cam. Glad you didn't have any crazy loud music in the background. Thanks for this info, ordering a kit from you today for my 07 XB9SX.
Very nice video. I am glad i now know how to rebuild a fuel pump using quality Aagaard Moto Foundry parts, sourced from the USA, made in the USA. Remember folks, the most important part of the install is having your shop cat for emotional support.
About ten years ago I did my 05 Lightning. The bike had been sitting for a couple of years and the fuel system was bad. I put in a $26 v6 mustang pump and a few buck filter from the auto parts store. The regulator came from some place on line and was maybe $30. The big o rings from some other on line. All together I would guess it was maybe $70 to $80. Back in those days $300 factory original entire assembles were available everywhere. I think some of them came from bikes that harley crushed. Having a whole brand new assembly was very tempting but it was a little out of my budget. The new injectors were reasonably inexpensive which is why I rejected cleaning the originals. All this stuff still works after 600 hours on the clock. I am not sure about the miles since the bike has no instrumentation except for a engine hour meter.
Nice video. I will be ordering a kit from you. I have a 2007 Buell Lightning STT, 8000 km in storage the last 10 years with no fuel in the tank. Pump does not work. After taking everything apart to get to the pump I have run into a problem. I Can not figure out how to unplug the pump from the wire harness. One of the crazy connectors. Please help , Thanks Charlie
Nice instructional video. I'm getting ready to service the fuel pump on my Ulysses so this gives me a place to start. Question: the extra clamp is just a spare, or did you forget to put it on? TIA
The conventional wisdom is that it’s not used because it’s a plastic fitting that may crack when the clamp is applied. You can put a clamp there, just be very careful when doing so.
I followed your same steps and when trying to start the motorcycle it did not start, I checked that pressure came out of the fuel line and it does not come out but if you hear the pump working, I checked everything again and it is well assembled, do you know what it could be?
Also I installed the kit that I got from you and had to drill through the rubber boot where the harness goes and added a cable because one was torn off and used jb weld tank bound. I tried to contact you through the website
No. I provide a second clamp in the kit for owners who want a clamp on both the output of the pump and on the regulator housing. However, we show this without the clamp on the plastic regulator housing because this is the factory set up. The plastic housing on the regulator body can be over crimped, causing the housing to crack.

Nice Harbor Freight heat gun... Works like a champ, I got one myself. LOL
Good eye! The old legacy Harbor Freight heat gun has lasted over 8 years, so we use what works Ed!

Hi, did you do a video of the earlier pump? Can't find it. Thanks
Great video. Question: why no hose clamp on the pressure regulator side of the pump hose?
The conventional wisdom is that it’s not used because it’s a plastic fitting that may crack when the clamp is applied. You can put a clamp there, just be very careful when doing so.
Hi. Great video. I need a kit without the pump. My pump is good. What is the cost of the kit without the pump? I have a 2008 Uly XB12XT. Thanks
We stand behind our pumps, so we sell these as a kit. You’ll be happy you went with the American made product.
I followed your same steps and when trying to start the motorcycle it did not start, I checked that pressure came out of the fuel line and it does not come out but if you hear the pump working, I checked everything again and it is well assembled, do you know what it could be?
I would make sure the regulator is seated fully, sounds like it bypassed back to the overflow
Can you make a video on the older fuel pump?
We will soon, subscribe to the channel!
Do you do a X1 lightning kit??
We sure do, webshop in the comments
Which way does the nozel go with the hole on it goes the hole for the fuel to go thru
Not sure we understand the question Donald
Hi I am from new Zealand and am looking to purchase fuel pump kit for my 03 xb9r could you possibly help thanks
We will ship it to you!
How do you order or even replace the old cables if they are bad now
Do you mean the harness?
@@TheAagaards yes. The harness. My apologies.
Also I installed the kit that I got from you and had to drill through the rubber boot where the harness goes and added a cable because one was torn off and used jb weld tank bound. I tried to contact you through the website
Any luck?
@@highfivebroo the harnesses are obsolete. We suggest you get a used pump and install our kit on that unit.
you have forgotten the second Clamp on the upper Fuellhose !?!?

Okay, I understand.
Thanks for answering

Do you carry just the low fuel sensor? 04 firebolt xb12r
Yes, $33 plus shipping
@@aagaardmotofoundry anyway I could get a link? I couldn't find them on your website.
@@jordanburns194 just send us a message through the website and we will get you squared away
I have a leak from the wiring harness who makes that?
Depends on what year you have Shaun. Some are available and others are completely obsolete.
We now offer a harness!
I bought a fuel pump kit, HFP-361 from quantum fuel system on ebay. Do you think it would work?
The pumps are Chinese, and they don’t include much of what you’ll need unfortunately…
