A very cheerfull tune to start the day
These bands are all very professional, yet lesser known than Ray Noble, Carroll Gibbons & the Savoy Orpheans, Bert Ambrose and Lew Stone, etc. Shows the quality of British music then. Superb and so listenable.
Hi Pax41, I'm truly amazed that you never seem to run out of vintage music for your Subscribers. There isn't any radio station I know of that plays music like yours. Thanks for being here for us, we really appreciate your time and effort to upload videos for us to hear.
My pleasure Neil and thank you for watching!
rockabilly
... and the biggest bonus of all, no yattering DJs who seem to think they are more important than the music. They aren't - they are simply carriers.
"Let's annoy listeners by playing the record whilst we blether a lot of nonsense, then before it ends we can start again, or better still, 'sing' along with the vocalist."
There's a UK online radio station
1940sukradio.co.uk/
and John Wright although he's not a radio station as such

You're welcome!
It's just incredible how wealthy your collection is. Thank you for this very refined British selection!
😀 Exquisite! Thanks so very much for sharing this treasure.....'smile and the world will smile your way....'
You can immediately recognize Gracie Fields. She had such an incredible voice, so powerful - it's strident, yet feminine. I'm such a fan, brings out my anglophilia!
I have more by Gracie but not posted.
Another smashing set of tunes, thanks for uploading such gems.
Another excellent collection.& beautiful photos..
My best regards Bob
Dan
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanjks
Truly delightful
Heavenly selection, thanks so much! I'm jealous of all those people which were enjoying in such nightlife and wonderful music, so much better than today. :D
About the only thing I wouldn't have liked about the nightlife is all of the smoking.
I can't stand it also, but it's hard to imagine (in my opinion) 30's jazz ambiance without a fog of smoke and dimmed lights. :D
Nice
Thrilled, as always, to find a Brit set -- not to say, of course, that the Yank stuff isn't terrific, too. :-) My favorites are Joyce's "Lonely Linden Tree," Carroll's "Color Blind," the Wilbur number and Billy Cotton's "I Saw Stars" -- always glad to hear a good version of "Stars," such a pretty tune.
Thank u
Loving the Swing tunes in this collection!
As ever,a great collection of lovely music, thank you so much.
Thank you Alex and glad you enjoyed it as usual.
Delightful dance music
Dance the night away with it main account.
Another great group of tunes and songs that are so soothing.
Glad you liked them and thank you for watching!
Oh God, what have we lost?
No. We have not lost much. We were born after WWII and the Blitz on London. Not a nice time to be around.
Super excellent with very good interesting photos
Thank You
Wow! That clarinet in "Here Comes That Rainbow" is everything!! 😊🎶🎶 Thanks for making my night shift so alive with great music. Praying always that you can continue to maintain your WONDERFUL channel! 🙏👍😊🎶
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you Miss Jean, little under the weather today so didn't get a thing done.
@@pax41 Hope that your health will improve greatly. 🙏
When the present is a disaster, the past will do fine.
Worth booking a room at the Overlook Hotel for
Nicely done, Pax41!
Thank you as always Gary. I have a good one I am working on now.
You never miss Pax41!
The compilation gives some feeling as being at the Savoy in the '30. Standing there and wait for Al Bowley and Ray Noble orch. Or the Savoy Orpheans.
The Savy Orpheans, along with- Less We Forget- Elisie Carlisie, Al Bowlly and Ray Noble - yes, I would wait for them
Pocas cosas tan llenadoras de gusto por la vida, como la música de los 20 y los 30...
@Pax41, has anyone else noticed that on Track 9, (26:52 "With You"), the music segues into "Puttin' On the Ritz" at 28:22. I've listened and double-checked that there is no break where another song would start. Perhaps "With You" just happened to include the extra music recorded by Harry Bidgood's Orchestra? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for all the wonderful music you've been posting. 🥰

Something strange here. The music I'm hearing as I type is not what is listed above. There is no other channel open at present. Och well, those things happen. Perhaps if I switch off then on again, it will all come out in the wash. Doesn't really matter - the menu may be different but the food's just as good.
When I loose my temper 😱😨😠😈😤
