    Great lesson and explanations! Best of the three I've watched so far. Question: Are all the fingers 5, 6. 7. 8, of the left hand ever used (rarely, sometimes, often), or are only fingers 6 and 7 used to play the 5th beat? Also, which castanets do you recommend? (don't fall off your fingers, good sound) Wood only please. Thank you!

    Thank you! Loved the video so much, tried the "RIA" it seems the hardest, how much time does it take to practice it very well?

    • @Healdancethrive
      @Healdancethrive  4 роки тому +6

      Thank you for watching the video, I'm very glad that you liked it! The RIA and the "carretilla" are indeed the most challenging movements. You need to work on the strength of the four fingers and speed will come afterwards. Be patient with yourself, it takes a while to have a clean sound, the important thing is regular practice, no matter if you have only a few minutes. I will be uploading another two videos with useful exercises. One is coming out today. I hope they are useful for you too. Keep up with the good work! Maria xx

    First time castanets player, bought them this afternoon. I'll practice while dancing in my living room, by myself, because I suck. It's going to take some time to not sound or look ridiculous.

      Be patient with your self. It takes a long time to feel like you really can master the coordination of playing while dancing. Practice, practice, practice is the key! Many thanks for watching

    Thank you so much, Maria. I am really enjoying practicing during the pandemic, with baby socks on my castanets to keep from disturbing my housemates. I've noticed that the ties loosen as I start to play. I did just change them. Will they become more stable over time?

    • @Healdancethrive
      @Healdancethrive  4 роки тому +1

      That's absolutely normal and they will get less loose in time. A quick tip is to wet the knot with water a bit before your practice, this will prevent slipping. Xx

      If you make the slipknot correctly that does not happen.😘

    Hola Maria quisiera saber si lleva mucho tiempo aprender ya qvel ria no me sale para nada y si todas las personas practicando llegan a tocar castañuelas.Muchas gracias sus videos son muy instructivos.

      Hola Ana, muchas gracias por ver mi canal. Absolutamente, todo el mundo puede llegar a tocar las castañuelas. Estoy contigo en que lleva tiempo conseguir un sonido claro y de calidad, especialmente el ria y la carretilla. Practicar con regularidad es la clave, sobre todo los ejercicios de independizar los dedos. Practica el ria muy muy despacito y cada dedo por separado, el ria llegara antes de lo q piensas! Debido a la situacion q estamos viviendo he decidido dar clases on line de manera totalmente gratuita. Empiezan hoy y hay clase de castañuelas tambien. Si te apetece pasate por mi pagina de FB o IG para apuntarte @mariavegadancer un abrazo!
