An addition to the progression is to do elevated pike pushups with one leg vertical. This adds an additional load to the pike pushup and makes it more like the HSPU and helps bridge the gap between the elevated pike pushup and the wall assisted HSPU. I've not seen many include this in their progression in HSPU tutorials.

I've practiced your beginner handstand routine and I like it quite a lot. however, I'm stagnant with my handstand progress and realize I probably need more variety in my handstand training in order to make any real progress. I would really appreciate another handstand video possibly with another routine. Just for more variety.

What do you think about doing Wall HeSPU with additional negative reps to get adequate volume? for example doing (3x(2 Wall HeSPU+ 3x6s Wall HeSPU ecc)) and progressing from there by increasing the concentric reps and decreasing the eccentrics... Wouldn’t that be the best way to build strength for the Free HeSPU as it would be in the full range of motion unlike Partial ROM HeSPU and it would stimulate the Free HeSPU better than an overhead press? What are your thoughts?

What is your opinion on fuil ROM HSPU ? Building up strength with pike pushups but starting with *deep* pike PU in all progressions ? I believe it will help for maximum shoulder gains and make it easier for the full ROM HSPU chase.

I belive that we need to do pike push ups in to 2 directions. I mean we need to work on our "deep" strenght (with PB) and "lean" strenght(without PB) and of course negatives in free hs

Hey Tom! Great video and very instructive! Thanks once again.
Quick question: My incredibly tight hamstrings prevent me from performing the Pike Pushup with good form. I'm working on flexibility, but in the meantime is there a variation for people like me? xD It gets easier when the feet get on the wall, but the strength is not there yet, so you see my dilemma. Thanks man!

Tom Merrick I have an one question more. You have 3 types of program called beginner, skills and mass. You are saying that (in e-book) experience need 6+Months for skill program, 3+Months for Mass program.
Is that 3+ Month, 3 month beginner or 6 month beginner + 3 month skill? (for passing the mass program)
