Great analysis! Very interesting. It was a little bit of fun for Sam and Sir Brian May for the melody to sound like Queen for Ted Lasso. People will complain that it’s copying but the inspiration is intentional 😭

Hi, thanks for the comment. I don't see it as copying but more as a reference. All artist reference their heros in different ways. It could be more Queen than it actually is to be honest don't you think?

Definitely but there is more to it as an excellent song. It is like channelling the Queen vibe but more like a tip of a hat

I hear you but in this case it is the arrangement, the singing style and Sir Brian May playing it that is too suggestive on the ear. Sam has a great voice aswell. So I do not say it's copied but intentional as a respectful nod imo.
