Meet Our New Alaskan Malamute Puppy!! (Cutest Little Fluff EVER!)

- The three fluffskateers have finally assembled. The latest member of the pack has joined! After years of convincing Shane finally gave in doomed to be covered in dog hair forever, in his cereal, on the shirts, the car dashboard, the washing machine, the garden, the couch, bed and in his beard when he wakes up like Velcro haha.
FYI we have actually decided on a name and registered him. Welcome 'Teddy' short for Theodore when he is in trouble haha. Teddy or Ted for short, it was a compromise between me and Shane but it seems very befitting of our newest little bear. He's super cute and super intelligent too, he's pretty much got all the basic commands down after only a couple of training sessions - he picks it up very fast (when there’s food) just like Phil!
He even has learned to speak on command already! His little barks are adorable. We will post the introduction videos to the dogs shortly.
We kept Phil and Niko at Shane's Mum's on the first night to let Teddy sniff around and settle, we then introduced the pets individually one by one and let them take their own time to familiarise rather than force an introduction.
As many of you know, Alaskan Malamutes are heavily pack orientated and introducing a new member is a vital aspect to get right, Milo on the other hand was completely shocked and it's probably the second time in his life we heard him hiss haha, he is very interested though and is getting closer and closer by the day. He sneaks up on Teddy while he sleeps to have a sniff!
Teddy loves everyone though he's just so innocent and him and Mia got on like a house on fire - they've been by each others side every waking moment sharing toys chewing books together, tug of war and climbing obstacles, it's a brilliant opportunity to watch them both grow together and nurture the bond correctly.
Knowing malamutes, we have a MAJOR benefit in that both of us are home with Teddy 100% of the time, toilet training and command opportunities are ten fold amplified as we are constantly with him so every opportunity is seized. He has joined a very loving family and pack and we know you will all adore him as much as we do! Xx

Nothing against this couple for getting a purebreed puppy from a breeder, thats their choice! I just wanna encourage u guys in the comment to please consider adopting before shopping! Shelters have all kinds of breeds
Also I want to warn people about getting dogs online if the person won't let you come and meet them (the person and the dog's parents/siblings). Too many puppy mills do that. A good breeder, like this one, will want to meet you and see you with the pups, because they want to be sure the pup is going to a good home.
I am very much for animal rights and animal welfare (and I have immediate family members running their own fundraising charity for rescues) but I don't feel bashing everyone who buys dogs from breeders is the right way to go about it. I've had three dogs that were all breeder ones. I would consider talking a shelter dog in if we got another perhaps though.
I have never had anything but shelter/rescue pets but to each their own. Just get your pets from reputable sources no matter what. One cat I had for far too short a time was a surrender to a shelter due to what was clearly having been very closely bred by an irresponsible breeder. She had several genetic issues and I finally decided that her quality of life was too low and pain was too great for me to keep subjecting her to medical treatments she could not understand.

My first Malamute was named Kodi, which was short for Kodiak. We later saw that Kodiak Island is an island in Alaska so for all of our malamutes after, we tried to keep with names that match locations in Alaska like Denali, Juneau, Kenai, Sitka, etc

The first night away from their dog family is so hard for a wee puppy. At least he's landed in the most wonderful home. Congratulations to all - he's lovely!
So cute!! There is nothing like getting a baby Malamute. My ZAR was sent from Alaska by the breeder to San Francisco when he was 8 weeks old. He will be 7 years old this December 10th. He is a 195 lb giant Wooley Malamute known as a M'Loot and looks like your Niko. FYI the Malamute was made Alaska's State Dog. I think it is fabulous watching the interaction with Mia and the pack. I have been watching since the first day you brought Mia home and enjoying your videos every week.

The dog has chosen. His reaction to Shane it is obvious that he was a little nervous but comfortable enough to go and play. Shane is a real dog whisperer.

I understand the love and the cuteness and everything about why another one can be good, but the work and money and patience of having to clean and feed and groom and clean some more and deal with the never ending hair and clean again and walks is just too much with four little pals plus a baby. I admire you two so much for all the good you do in making a beautiful life. It isn't easy paying the price though, but worth the love of course and memories that shape who we are.. You two are my hero's and make this world a far better place. I thank you for the smiles and laughs I get all the time from your clips. I take care of 9 feral cats twice a day for three years now in my back yard keeping them alive, as well as 3 dogs and a cat of my own so I know some some of what you deal with.
I agree Dan. Lots of hard work. I have 14 rescued cats, now surviving and caregiving 35 community cats around my neighborhood. But Nothing beats the Love & Spiritual values we gain. Bless All sentient beings big & small. 💟💐

Animals of all kinds but especially dogs and cats that I try to help everyday of my life do return the favor 10 fold to me by helping make me a better human being.
I know you have to feel the same way I bet. I honestly think God uses them to help us learn how to love and teach us acceptance and so many other things. For example, they all seem to live such short lives and I think it's to remind us all, over and over to get our lives in order because we TOO will have our last day some time and be prepared for our turn. Aww, such an adorable little cuddlebug. I think Teddy is the perfect name for him (though you'll have to remember not to call Phil "teddy bear" out of habit 😁). Teddy was the name of my family's first dog; he was a 25-pound Miniature Australian Shepherd, and he was a fluffy little cuddler too.
I can't wait to see his first meetings with the rest of the pack!

I had a giant Malamute named Theodore. He was the most awesome dog ever. I called him Ted most of the time but he liked to be called Theodore.

Well, it's much easier for dogs than humans. After their puppies are weaned at 8 weeks, it's a little easier for the mother to let go.
@@judioregan4210 the different is that humans can tell you they sad but animals can’t but it doesn’t mean they don’t feel the pain of losing their puppy! We bought our dog her mom after the breeder retire and now the mom get in an panic attack and run around the house looking for her kid if she didn’t see her.
@@NNNgocNguyen - oh bless her. I suppose it's easier for some dogs than others. I hope she's OK and settles down. I know that some dogs suffer from separation anxiety. How old was the puppy when they were parted?
The woman seemed to be a professional breeder so the mama is probably used to it now. Not to say it’s not sad but I feel like after a certain point they have an understanding as to what will happen.
