- Hey! So between Mia naps, work washing hoovering and hoovering again haha, we try to train Teddy while he is still this eager to learn! Surprisingly and to our joy, he is a very fast learner! He is picking things up as fast as Toby our golden retriever did and retaining them.
We use meal times to train Teddy, he gets his normal meal feed as what he thinks is treats! This works so we are associating a reward with good behaviour but also slowing down his feed as he would wolf it down otherwise - forgive the pun :)
Teddy is growing so fast, he's twice the size he was when we got him. We've only had him 4 weeks!

I believe that. we used had puppy never had any trouble in potty training. Because, he watches the other two Big dogs, we had. To go outside for potty and come back in and let us know he needs go out. that was easy pup, we have ever train to go out and potty. lol

Yeah dogs tend to learn from examples. If they see another dog do it they'll pick it up faster.

Phil is and always will be #1 with me, then Nico of course, Teddy has to earn his place with me, but that's not saying that I love him any less. And Milo is up top with Phil and Nico, he is a damn GREAT Cat!

I never thought of training Venus at feeding time, just in between. Teddy is so easy going & smart. Takes me back to Venus’ puppy days!!

Malamutes have the most amazing howls, like wolves in the woods. I had one that occasionally would call out in the middle of the night and scare the heck out of visitors we forgot to warn. His name was Thunder and he wore it well.

I think Phil was confused. Phil thougt that you ordered him because you called him Teddy bear before Teddy had come .
Teach him the command "focus" by pointing to your eyes. This gets him to give you the eye contact you need to begin more advanced training and helps keep him focused on you and not the other dogs. ( sorry if you already know that). ❤❤❤ Also you can build the focus to 5, 10, 20 or more seconds to really advance his concentration levels. It's so useful for when there's a lot going on outside of the home, like other dogs,cats, traffic and so on. It's been priceless for my connection with my dogs. Hope that's useful for you xx

Teddy is so smart, chubby, and adorable! He is like a mini-Philly bear. I Love love both Philly bear and Teddy. Poor Philly bear feeling ignored when he's speaking upon command (albeit not directly to him) but Philly bear is still being charming, I just want to hug him so he doesn't feel ignored. On the other hand, Niko is just ignoring your commands completely.
Phil is that student in class who wishes to be the teacher's pet and wants to answer all the questions.

Phil is not dopey. He gets on with others, apart from Derek, obviously has his reasons. His focus is food. He has mastered restraint over getting something to eat. That is pretty smart. Wow, Teddy is getting bigger every time we see him.
Both of you have done so well in training all of your pets, they are so well behaved and disciplined and get along well with each other. I have to assume even Milo got some sort of training because of how he always wants to be where the action is, always with his siblings, even when they get a bath. They are all very handsome and a joy to watch. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Teddy reminds me of our Border Collie Fred. Took us forever to teach our Irish Setter Brandy tricks. Fred had them all down in a month.
Is there anything more adorable than a puppy? I think not. I love Phil and the rest of the gang but it is hard to not love Teddy most right now. I look forward to seeing Teddy on walks with Phil and Niko and finding the mud puddles!
