We like to take a power strip. Most of the rooms we've stayed in have 1 maybe 2 outlets. A power strip allows for charging multiple devices at a time. We usually have 3 phones, camera chargers and an ipad and a kindle.
I bought the eye patches you can put in the freezer to have small ice packs for lunch-sized bags and lunch cases. It’s also useful since my oldest gets bad allergies
Thanks for the video! :) I guess some of the cleaning products are crazy to some people (like the plastic bag for the remote!) but to be honest, those items take up virtually no room in your luggage, so if it makes you feel better while you're on your trip? Go for it! Just do what makes you feel comfortable. Some people don't care as much about hygiene but we all have our triggers where we feel uncomfortable. A plastic bag and a few wipes are such small items. Good tip about the pharmacy drugs... I always forget headache pills and stomach ache pills when I got away. Trying to buy them is a bit of a hassle so always worth taking.
Everything you are saying is everything on my list and I'm so happy I'm not the only one who think/feel this way...I also bring our travel sheets/blankets/pillow-cases(we are driving) and towels...
I take dishwasher liquid with me all the time too. Also, the baby wipe tip. I use them for everything cleaning in the home, car, hands, faces, and we are not a family with babies anymore. I also bring my own hand soap container in my purse. I have allergies to things so I like having liquid soap in my purse for cleanup anytime, when I don't want to use other smelly soaps that are provided.
I take blister bandaids, translucent powder sunscreen (I like the one by Peter Thomas Roth) to help keep my face protected AND not super oily. We do the Mini M&M tube for quarters & pennies. We also pack liquid soap, too.
aplacetonest it was AWESOME! I use it now in the summer at home as well, it makes more sense then trying to cake on translucent powder when out in the heat!
Love your ideas. Lysol wipes and stain stick great. We are headed to Disney in December for only our 4th trip so my motto is today is"yes" day! We don't splurge in our everyday life so when we are at Disney its yes, yes, yes. We have the same autograph book we have used for all 3 trips. I date it and its fun to look back. I also brought a white matte the characters so graciously signed and is now hanging with our favorite Disney photo and looks beautiful. You would laugh at my husbands friend when he travels he buys new socks and underwear for his trips and throws them out as he uses them. Thanks for the tips.
We just returned from the magic Disney bubble.😊 The Penny machine costs exactly .51.😊 We stayed at a deluxe resort for the first time, & enjoyed some of the amenities available > free washers & dryers in the resort laundry room (which was just a few steps away from the pool), kitchenette with plates, bowls, cups, etc. We really liked the electronic monitor/screen at the bus pick up/drop off that told what time busses for each park would arrive. Our kids (college age) would run down to check the times so that we (parents) didn't have to arrive unnecessarily early. For anyone who has food allergies, Disney once again did not disappoint in that area. I have gluten, dairy & pork food allergies & am always very impressed with how well they handle it. The chef will personally come talk to me about possible food options & availability, to make sure that I get exactly what I would like to eat. The one & only time that I had any problem was during this trip at 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios. The chef did not come out, but instead I was given an "allergy-friendly" menu. I wasn't impressed with the food options available to me, & hesitantly ordered the meatless meatballs & spaghetti. I like nearly all foods, but had to send this dish back because of how unpleasant it was. I opted to order fried chicken from the regular menu instead & not eat the skin, which I never did anyhow. The chicken dish was okay- but I don't plan to eat there again. We ate table service meals at Be Our Guest (breakfast), Liberty Tree Inn (both in Magic Kingdom), San Angel (Epcot), Ohana (Polynesian Resort), 50's Prime Time Cafe, & Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge). We also ate at several of our favorite quick service restaurants. We purchased the resort refillable mugs this time & I am 90% sure we paid $17.99. We bought for several of our family members at once, so I'm not 100% sure of the individual price. We use these mugs for years- they're one of my favorite souvenirs.😊 P.S. I am especially happy to watch your Disney videos this week, as I try to wean myself from the magic, & adjust to life outside the Disney bubble.
Wow! Thank you for the great information! My Mom was eating gluten-free when she was down there as well and she was very happy with how they treated her and the quality and taste of the food! It's good to know that Disney takes care of people with food allergies!
We stayed at bay lake and I purchased Disney themed night lights at the dollar tree to have around so we could see at night. They were a great help if anyone was us during the night!
Just found your channel.. love your advice! For your remote germ issue.. I completely understand.. use a shower cap from a previous stay (I’m a flight attendant so I see SO many! Ha!).. cover it up and use.. safe! Also use shower caps for shoes.. if you don’t have a shoe bag.. good uses for shower caps!
I love these tips, especially the tip with getting glow things at the dollar tree or michaels...super smart and it makes the kids feel special and unique! AND the bubble tip is the BEST! Thanks for sharing these tips!!
Most of these I don’t implement. I do however bring wet wipes with me. I like the idea of bringing dish soap. Although not always easy when traveling long distance. We have in the past brought sink clothes wash on holiday so we could wash stuff in the sink if we really need to. Although it doesn’t have any extra protection built in I do have a hat similar shape to the one you showed so it protects my neck as well as my face. After I started going to conventions I started carrying around a mini first aid with things like pain killers, anti diarrhoea, bonjella and more recently anti cramping medication to name a few things. We brought pepto when we went to countries like Egypt and Tunisia. I took my Mack that folds away into its pocket when I recently went to Disney. I did buy my autograph book before I went to Disney- although on the first day I totally forgot to put it in my park bag. Gaaa- I was sooo tempted to go buy another in the park but decided not to and to get autographs from characters in that park in the future. I did bring a portable power bank and plenty of batteries when I went to Florida the other week. Thankfully on this trip I didn’t use them much but often I do.
I live in Florida. DO NOT bring change for the tolls, you will not be able to pay for them that way, Buy a SunPass (permanent pass is $5.00 while the portable pass is $20.00) that way you can pay for tolls and not get charged a bill for three times the amount which will be sent to your home. The toll roads in Florida don't have the lanes where you can pay for with change anymore.
A Place to Nest the change is a slow process everwhere. where I live (tampa, florida; which is 30 minutes to an hour away from Orlando) the tolls don't have a change lane. The tolls take pictures of your license plate and bill you later on in the month if you don't have a sunpass account.
more super advice👍 we bought a portable charger for our mobiles from one of the stores in magic kingdom, big top souveniers. you can purchase them in a variety of stores in all the parks. I believe it cost us 30 dollars, may have been less. You only buy it once and when the device itself has ran out of charge, if you do not have access to your charger in your room, you just recycle it back into one of the machines you buy them and you get a fresh one! these were a lifesaver on holiday and I've even used it at home since.
We get the small autograph books from Disney. They are $7.95. I ordered ours from the Shop Parks app got it when they had a 25% off everything sale. So I paid $5.96. The pressed pennies are 51 cents.
Also, FYI, if there are some people that like a more natural approach to a stomach ache, I use Digize and Peppermint essential oils from Young Living. I am a distributor, and I do it for my own health. These 2 worked wonders on my hubby when he had a stomach problem....in one night actually. Also, Stress Away is AMAZING to keep you sane. I use it everyday.
I buy a travel size can of Lysol and I spray the entire room and bathroom including the remote. Disney is pretty good about cleaning but that is the first thing we do.we also take Clorox wipes for the tub,we use them every night before we give the baby a bath. I don't like the bubble idea because I don't want soapy bubbles blown on me in line nor do I want them on my hair and I watched a child one time spill a whole bottle and got them all over the place so I don't really think that's a good idea.
Such great tips!! The remote is definitely on my hotel disgust list. A sponge and dish detergent was sooo helpful to me on my first Disney trip, our mugs got so many uses!
Remote in a ziplock is genius.. we always Clorox wipe it but ziplocks soo much better.... germ nuts too over here . First trip with our 2 yr old in a few months and your videos are a big help!!! Thanks
Great tips Becky. We are very likeminded in what we pack for Disney. I like to bring different colored sharpies too for the autograph books. Also lanyards from the Dollar store if they want to do the pin trading. Hope that you have a great trip!
A Place to Nest Do u guys fly? If u do, do u have problems bringing the Pepto liquid? Orlando Airport took Away our Pepto liquid on our way home in 2017.
Loving this series! I was so excited when I saw it was a long video because I knew you were going to have a lot of great information--and you did! Thank you!!!
What kindof baby wipes do you recommend? I don't like anything that has a lot of product or leaves me feeling sticky/dry. I don't use them on a regular basis, but for this trip I will.
Thanks so much! I had a great time making all of these Disney videos and I'm excited to continue sharing Mickey Monthly unboxings. I will have the one for May up soon!
This was a great list and there were a couple things I would have never thought to take like the water bottles with filters and portable charger. I am the same way about germs! Some people laugh about us who are overly cautious, but I hardly ever get sick (esp even if my kids are!). I take clorox wipes and wipe all door handles, tv remote and bathroom (including toilet and tub) as soon as we get into a hotel room. If i had room to pack all my linens i would do that too lol!! And I am like a traveling pharmacy and take just about anything that would be needed (chewable zophran and immodium stay in my purse 365 anyway!). We also have ro take a large box fan or two because we always sleep with those and my husband literally cant sleep without one. So yeah, we are not light packers ;-)
I don't think your a nut I think it's smart!! I took your advice last year and brought a bath mat and it was amazing I loved having it! It made me feel so much cleaner taking a shower. I actually went to the next extreme and got a $4 shower curtain from ocean state job lot or dollar store, I hate when hotel shower curtains stick to me, so a clean one was so nice to shower with😬lol
Thank you for this video! We are not able to go to Disney due to finances, but I love the ideas for other travel places 🤗🙃😍. And all the ideas are awesome 👏🏻 I love sanitizer so I'm like you lol! And I don't care if people think I'm crazy or use a too clean/sanitizer to each is own! But I'm with you for sure! 🤗🤗🤗. You're wonderful, love watching you so much!
Could you let us know what isnt allowed to take in the park with us? I know here in TX they wont let us bring in spray sunscreen into theme parks. It really sucked to buy $20 sunblock in the park because they threw away my brand new sunscreen!

I have no problem with bubbles for kids and I am not trying to tell you how to discipline or treat your children. Please don't let them stick the bubble machine specifically in a face of someone in a wheelchair. It happens to me all the time at Disneyland and I ran into a stranger with my wheelchair because I couldn't see. I love that they make them and that kids can be entertained by something so simple. However, it really is dangerous to stick them in someones face. The bubble machines blow so many bubbles at once that they get in my eyes while rolling around so I am forced to close my eyes and then I run into things or get run into by people for stopping.
I'm sure it would be very frustrating to have bubbles blown in your face! I always tell my girls to be mindful of blowing bubbles when other people are nearby.
Parabens do not scare me. Even the man who ran the original study will tell you the reported results were erroneous. I’m trying to figure out how many packets of hand wipes and Kleenex I want to take. Thanks for reminding me to take batteries. I’m flying. I’ll put them in the checked bag or mail them and other stuff to my resort.
We like to take a power strip. Most of the rooms we've stayed in have 1 maybe 2 outlets. A power strip allows for charging multiple devices at a time. We usually have 3 phones, camera chargers and an ipad and a kindle.

We have a solar powered phone charger that clips onto our backpack or stroller or wherever. It was really nice to have at Disney!
That's neat that it's solar! I've never seen one like that!
we have a small purse like lunch box I put our apple sauce etc and an ice pack. loooove the cooling towels.blister bandaids are a trip saver for us.

I have been sitting here watching your Disney videos with a notebook. Thank you so much for all of the valuable information.
We have those fans too. It was 90 when we went to Disney and they REALLY helped. We got ours at Walmart for $10.
They really do put out a lot of air! :)
Everything you are saying is everything on my list and I'm so happy I'm not the only one who think/feel this way...I also bring our travel sheets/blankets/pillow-cases(we are driving) and towels...

I'm glad I could give you that tip! I hope it helps!

Trish Scully makes amazing dresses! They are (I believe hand made?) and detailed and cost the same or less than a Disney dress from the site. 🌹
That sounds awesome!
We stayed at bay lake and I purchased Disney themed night lights at the dollar tree to have around so we could see at night. They were a great help if anyone was us during the night!

I love these tips, especially the tip with getting glow things at the dollar tree or michaels...super smart and it makes the kids feel special and unique! AND the bubble tip is the BEST! Thanks for sharing these tips!!
Doing those small, simple things really does keep kids happy and helps you to spend less! I'm glad it was helpful!
We are going for the first time with 4 kids ranging in age from 11 to 14months and this video was soooooo helpful! Thank you so very much!
I'm so glad it was helpful and I hope you have an amazing trip!

Yes, those portable chargers are such a great purchase that you won't regret!
Clorox wipe or similar works just as good for the “gross hotel remote”.
Great ideas! Love the water bottles and hats 👒

Those remotes and in-room phones are DISGUSTING! I'm glad you agree with me about that! :)
Love the bag for the remote! I am gonna do it next time I travel. Thank you
Great, I'm glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
kids camera... best idea yet
Thanks! They definitely take pictures of some funny stuff. lol
Love your videos, especially the Disney series! We drive down in 9 days, so I'm taking lots of notes on last-minute items to pack!
Have a great time!
I got some great tips here! Thank you!
You're so welcome!
Remote in a ziplock is genius.. we always Clorox wipe it but ziplocks soo much better.... germ nuts too over here . First trip with our 2 yr old in a few months and your videos are a big help!!! Thanks
I love how they have to give you free ice water.
Yes, that is nice. :)
Love your channel my and I are the same way the cleaning hotels when we arrive.
Great tips Becky. We are very likeminded in what we pack for Disney. I like to bring different colored sharpies too for the autograph books. Also lanyards from the Dollar store if they want to do the pin trading. Hope that you have a great trip!

What kindof baby wipes do you recommend? I don't like anything that has a lot of product or leaves me feeling sticky/dry. I don't use them on a regular basis, but for this trip I will.
Honestly, I just stick with the unscented Huggies or Pampers wipes.
Great tips for any trip! Thanks for sharing :) I absolutely LOVE your Disney series!!
Thanks so much! I had a great time making all of these Disney videos and I'm excited to continue sharing Mickey Monthly unboxings. I will have the one for May up soon!
Hi Becky. Do you happen to have a blog or anything like it where your must haves are written down?
No, I don't...I'm sorry. I used to have a blog but it was too much to keep up with.
This was a great list and there were a couple things I would have never thought to take like the water bottles with filters and portable charger. I am the same way about germs! Some people laugh about us who are overly cautious, but I hardly ever get sick (esp even if my kids are!). haha traveling pharmacy! It's nice being the one who is super-prepared, isn't it?
I don't think your a nut I think it's smart!! I took your advice last year and brought a bath mat and it was amazing I loved having it! It made me feel so much cleaner taking a shower. I actually went to the next extreme and got a $4 shower curtain from ocean state job lot or dollar store, I hate when hotel shower curtains stick to me, so a clean one was so nice to shower with😬lol
I've had that happen before and it's gross! :)
when you do boddi bobbddi do you dress here before you go to boutique or dress her there?
They have little dressing rooms where you can change so we always just take her dress with us and change her there.
never thought about the ziploc bag for the remote. great tip i am a germaphobe as well
fabulous video. Thanks
Thank you so much!
You do realize that most if not everything in a hotel room cleaned after a someone stayed in that room
Disney is definitely expensive! Thank you so much for your sweet comment!
Great ideas
Thanks so much!
So this is off topic but what color is your wall.
It's Sherwin Williams, Oyster Bay.
A Place to Nest thanks
OMG I LOVE YOUR EARINGS
Thank you!
Great tips thank you!
I’m glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Could you let us know what isnt allowed to take in the park with us? I know here in TX they wont let us bring in spray sunscreen into theme parks. It really sucked to buy $20 sunblock in the park because they threw away my brand new sunscreen!
+kerismith24 You can definitely take spray sunscreen. The only thing that isn't allowed is selfie sticks, weapons or toys that look like weapons. They will do a bag check at the entry of each park but those are the only prohibited items that I know of. I take spray sunscreen all the time.
kerismith24 you cannot bring wagons or anything else you pull behind you. We found that out the hard way.
+Jessica Hummer That's a good tip. I wasn't aware of that because I've never tried to do that. All the more reason to rent a stroller or bring your own.
Oh awesome! Thank you!
Good to know! Thank you :)
I'm the same way 👌🏼👍🏼

Your trip there is 1 hour shorter than our flight to Orlando
That's a long flight!
Lol
In first place of this i dont call you a nut because im not being mean and im still confused 2017-2018
