Use a Chase Disney card and use it instead of your debit card for everything. Very easy to get a completely free trip every other year. You can't beat free
Jerry Gundrum I’m gonna add there are cards that pay more than the Disney card. I have one and his rewards (can use for Disney gift cards or just cash) pay twice as much. 🤷🏼♀️ They do have photo ops that are a bonus for card holders only!
Great tips!!!! We always bring $5 a day to leave for mousekeeping, so if we opt out of having them service our room we would save our $5 a day too! It all adds up! I will definitely be checking into that our next trip. Can't wait for more Disney videos!!
We are using the gift card at Sam's Club. Right now, we can save about $20 more on our trip by buying at Sam's Club rather than BJ's. So, you may want to check them out as well. We also plan to use our rewards CC to purchase and then turn around and pay it off. We are also going in May! When will you be there?
Thanks for the ebates reminder & for the BJ's tip! You explained both thoroughly:) Here are 2 new ways that our family of six (2 adults, 4 college aged kids) saved lots of $$$ on our WDW Disney trip last year. 1) We had an ROTC member traveling with us, so we purchased our park tix through him. Our park tix were only $55 for the basic tix, + we got a free day in one of the water parks. *there are a lot of fine print details regarding the use of military purchased tix- read & follow all of the easy, basic requirements. 2) We needed 2 rooms because the kids aren't "kid size" anymore. lol For the 1st time ever, we took a leap & went thru Daves vacation rentals to get our rooms. We were able to get 2 rooms in a deluxe resort for marginally more than we'd have paid at a value resort thru Disney. I do not recall our exact savings, but it was huge! Our rooms had queen size beds, balconies, & kitchenettes=❤️.
Unique tips!!! Thank you so much! I’ve been going to Disneyland my whole life, and I’ve never used any of your great tips! This was a great video. Better than all the rest. Thank you!
I'm so glad it was helpful! The only thing I need to add is, from what I've been told, BJ's no longer lets non-members shop there so I buy my Disney gift cards from Target with my Red Card and save 5% on them that way. :)
Yep, we were at All Star Sports last Sept. (2018) and got a $50 Disney card for not having them clean our room during our stay. I don't like a stranger cleaning my room anyhow.
I buy Disney Gift cards with my Target credit card at Target and get 5% off. Then, I use my WDW annual passes for restaurants, where I get at least 10% off - so that's 15% off for our meals - that pretty much covers the tips. I use my Disney credit card to buy most of my monthly purchases (I pay it off in full each month) and I get 1-2% off - you get that back in gift cards when you request them - and I use that money to help pay for our annual passes each year. -- It's not that everything is paid in full, but each bit helps.
Yes, I buy the gift cards through Target now, too since BJ's no longer allows non-members to shop there. It sounds like you're really good at saving money on a Disney vacation! :)
Thanks for these tips Becky, these are great. My sister and her family are getting ready to go soon so I will tell her about these. It is so true that anything saved with a Disney trip is a lot, especially for us when we have to get two rooms since we have four kids. Also, have you heard about Disney charging for overnight parking?
Yes, effective this month, there will be an overnight parking fee for each night. Hopefully these tips will help offset the extra cost of having to pay to park. 😢
I think BJs changed their policy now. I’m trying to get gifts cards and it’s asking me to sign in. There is a $10 yearly membership for online purchasing.
In my experience, it doesn't matter how many people are in your party. The discounts I've always gotten are based on your entire package, not the amount of people in your party. Check out Mousesavers.com and they will list any available discounts.
Haven't been to Disney since 1980... I do love Rainforest Cafe....been to the one in Vegas at the MGM Grand..enjoyed that one. Visited one at the Riverwalk in San Antonio, it has a 2nd fl (where they sat us) & I didn't care for it, not much that was active, as far as animals & it was very isolated. Only 2 I've been to. Loved all your tips, if we were going to Disney, but probably not. Tyfs Mary
Another tip I got from the comments on another video is the Disney Movie Rewards. When you buy a Disney movie (including Marvel movies, Pixar, Star Wars, etc.) and enter the code at Disney Movie Rewards, you get reward points that you can redeem for gift cards. We have already gotten $40 worth of gift cards from movies we already own!
Wow! I haven't heard about most of those tips before. As a canadian I'm gonna have to see if I can buy with BJ's through Ebates Canada and if I can have those gift card sent directly to my hotel room to prevent from having shipping or canadian taxes charges. It's an extra step but totaly worth it. Thanks.
I Got 5% by getting Disney gift cards at Target with redcard and 1% by going through rakuten/ebates. We always do the free dining cause we go in the fall and love to pig out at disney and use our snack credits at the food and wine festival!!!
Wow, thank you for this info. I have the Disney premier credit card giving 2%. That is not good compared to what you just explained. Thank you so much. We are saving for our annual passes.
Amazing tips! I binged watched before we went. Defiantly sharing I have some family going soon. But to LA not sure if it makes much of a difference. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, I'm so glad they were helpful! These tips should work at Disney World or Disneyland. Also, let your family know that you can use your Target Red card (credit or debit) to save 5% off Disney gift cards!
Another Tip: You CAN use Disney gift cards at Rainforest and TRex! I will buy my gift cards from target with my red card (5% off) and then go to the Disney gift card website and transfer all balances to one card so I don't have 20 cards in my purse... This is so easy to collect over the course of 6 months or a year (the sooner you start the better).
It must be something new they have done. If you have a Target Red debit or credit card, you’ll save 5% on Disney gift cards so that might be something to check into.
I haven't heard anyone mention these tips so THANK YOU!! Now registered for Mousesavers.com and looking at Bjs.com. Love your content I'll be watching Thank You again!!
Hi! I looked into the mousesavers.com website, and on it I found the Family Sun and Fun Package discount. What I don't see is a code, is the name itself the code?
And if you charge your BJ's Disney gift cards on your Chase Disney card you earn Disney reward dollars and they will send you a Disney reward card which can then be used just like a Disney gift card. I also suggest that you use your Chase Disney card to purchase t-shirts and possibly even some souvenirs before you go on the trip which will get you more Disney reward dollars and often throughout the year the Disney Store has really great sales and and additional discount if the item shows a marked down price. If the sale is strictly in terms of percentage such as 10% off or 20% off you cannot get an additional amount back with your Disney Chase card but you can still earn reward dollars. Just be sure to pay the card off any time you use it because the interest rates will eat up anything you save.
You should seriously think about Chase Visa! You get a sign up bonus (and the person who referred you does too...thus my husband, mom and dad all have one!). We use our cash back Disney Dollars for all meal tips and souvenirs each time we go. I charge everything and pay it off each month.
Undercover Tourist for tickets, especially if your going to one park a day. Dave's Disney Vacation Club Rental for rooms if you want to stay on resort. You rent points from Disney Vacation Club members. There is a contract and everything.
if you pay for your disney vacation with gift cards and for any reason have to cancel you will get your refund back on the gift cards. you do not want to get stuck with $1000s on disney gift cards if something happens and you end up needing a refund.
Or you can call them at 407-WDW-DISNEY. Once you have your reservation, you can make your dining and fast pass reservations all on Disneyworld.com or the My Disney Experience app.
If you're staying on Disney property you can book 3 of them, per day, 60 days before your trip. If you're not staying on Disney property, you can book them 30 days before your trip. You'll need the My Disney Experience app or website to book them.
You're so welcome! I didn't mention this in the video but if you have a Target Red Card you can save 5% off Disney gift cards just by paying for them with your Red card.
A Place to Nest awesome! We home school so we went to universal studios in early November last year and my son loved it so much. He's wanting to go to Disney next so these tips are really gonna help me save some cash :D They're only kids for a minute it seems :)
Dede we went family of 4 -- 2 kids over 10. All inclusive with the meal plan (which is well worth the money) 7 days 6 nights for 4,200 --- the ONLY money we spent in the park was on 2 pins we wanted- which I found later selling on eBay for 3.99 each so you won't need ANY money in the park if you get the meal plan

Love your tips! Thank you!! I used my target debit card and got 5% discounted on all our Disney gift cards bought. Love the tip of triple dipping!
Great tips!!!! We always bring $5 a day to leave for mousekeeping, so if we opt out of having them service our room we would save our $5 a day too! It all adds up! I will definitely be checking into that our next trip. Can't wait for more Disney videos!!

Very helpful..working as a Travel Agent for Disney this will help cut corners for my clients. And my family's upcoming trip. Keep posting away.
Aww, thank you! I'm so glad it was helpful!
Thank you for these tips! I'm trying to plan a trip to Disney world next year
Lucky to use veterans discount really helped
Thanks for the ebates reminder & for the BJ's tip! You explained both thoroughly:)

I am trying to talk my family into going to Disney next summer, so this is going to be helpful. :) Thank you for sharing.
The Gold Project well did u go?
Wouldn't take much talking for me.. you'd be like "we should go to.." and I'd be like "DISNEY!!!!"
Unique tips!!! Thank you so much! I’ve been going to Disneyland my whole life, and I’ve never used any of your great tips! This was a great video. Better than all the rest. Thank you!

Awesome tips, thanks for sharing!! Excited for your Disney series in May!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yep...those videos will be here before we know it! :)
Thank you so much for sharing your helpful tips! Have a great trip!

Love Ebates, been using them for years!
Isn't it the best? It totally sounds like a scam but it really isn't! :)

I didn't know about those BJs gift cards! Great tip!
I'm glad it was helpful! You can also buy Disney gift cards with a Target Red Card (either credit of debit) and save 5% off your purchase!
Great tips! Do you know if they ever have discounts for just two people? Usually when I see packages they’re for a family of four

These were great !! We want to take the kids next year and want to save as much as I can. Thank you!!
Bj’s/ebates fine print seems to exclude cash back on gift cards, did they recently change their policy?
It’s possibly they have. Another option I started using was the Target Red card. With that, you actually save 5% on Disney gift card purchases.
Doesn't the chase disney card give a bigger discount than the 5% discount you get buying gift cards?
They might but I’m not really sure since I don’t have that credit card. Definitely double check before you buy anything to see which is the best deal.
Peak season or value season is easy to find . Just go on the website and look for the times with the cheapest ticket prices.

I'm so glad I was able to share some tips you hadn't heard before! I hope they work out for you! :)
When they say every resort is participating does that include shades of green?
I'm not sure about that. You'd probably want to contact Disney to make 100% sure.
Hi from marcia. Thank so much for the money saving ideas. I enjoy all infor you give.😊😊
I’m so glad it was helpful!
I do have a Discover card, & they still do 5% cash back. Thanks for the tips too.
That's great!
I Got 5% by getting Disney gift cards at Target with redcard and 1% by going through rakuten/ebates. We always do the free dining cause we go in the fall and love to pig out at disney and use our snack credits at the food and wine festival!!!

I've since gotten the Target Red Card and I buy Disney gift cards with it and save 5%. That's another option for you. :)
would have been great you letting us know the peak and low seasons...
Target redcard %5 Disney Gift Card
Do it through ebates and get another 1% cash back!
Is ebates the same as ibotta?
I no longer use Ibotta so I don't remember much about it but I know in a lot of cases, I could use Ebates AND Ibotta on the same transaction.
Amazing tips! I binged watched before we went. Defiantly sharing I have some family going soon. But to LA not sure if it makes much of a difference. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, you're absolutely right! I've heard that the BJ's option no longer works for non-members so I've been doing the Target Redcard thing, too!
I tried to go get the Disney gift cards at BJ’s and they would not let me purchase them without buying a membership.
It must be something new they have done. If you have a Target Red debit or credit card, you’ll save 5% on Disney gift cards so that might be something to check into.
So helpful thank you!

Yes, that should be all you need.
Yay! Thank you SO MUCH!

what is this exactly
@@mikemorgan8121 Which one?
Wow! Awesome!
Can you link gift card to your magic band? Or do you carry the gift cards around?
Also, you are SO pretty. You reminded of the actress Bitsie Tulloch from Grimm (TV show)
From what I know, you can't do that but it would be really convenient, wouldn't it?
Awww, thank you so much! I don't know who she is but I'll look her up. :)
No but if you go to the Disney gift card website you can combine all your gift cards onto one card
Does the mouse savers give you info on disneyland or only wdw?
Both! 😊
A Place to Nest Thank you it's so hard when your closest park isn't the biggest to find helpful info.
Can i pay for my disney hotel with a disney gift card?
Yes! When I have a resort reservation, also including park tickets, dining, etc., I'm able to pay that with a Disney gift card.
if you pay for your disney vacation with gift cards and for any reason have to cancel you will get your refund back on the gift cards. you do not want to get stuck with $1000s on disney gift cards if something happens and you end up needing a refund.

I’m so glad!
Great tips!!
I saved all of it by not going! Just kidding but. The only savings is the $$ you don't spend
We like the Rainforest Café!!
rip me, we cant afford to go to disney world hahaa, so i can just watch videos and cry XD
I’m sorry! 🙁 It is very expensive but I hope you can go sometime soon!

I likely won't be making one for awhile since we don't go as often as we used to. I'm a little out of the "Disney loop." lol
first love you so much
How much does it cost for your family to go to Disney?
It depends on the year but generally, for the resort and the tickets for everybody it's usually around $4,800.
Thank you!
