Here are some trivial information here that might interest some of you. The belly dancer there is Tanya Lemani who was born in Iran, and also was a belly dancer in I Dresm Of Jennie, which that episode was directed by Herb Wallerstein who, also directed episodes of the Original Star Trek series in the third season. Also, Charles McLacrory, believe that's how his name is spelled, as Jarvis, was Landru in the first season episode, The Return Of The Archons.
yeh, I wish he hadn't done that. There isn't even anything to suggest them being partners either. Apart from the first episode when Uhura was play-teasing Spock, but even then i saw no 'love interest' between them too. :/
Remarkable how Scotty was accused of murder several times and they still want to hang out with chicks at strip clubs. Wouldnt Scotty be like "Not tonite cap'n, I've been thru a lot'..
Okay, so here we have a Spock who has no idea or interest in what Kirk is talking about and yet Abrams says he based the Spock-Uhura romance in his reboot on TOS canon. O-kay. Whatever.
PersianAustralian the Abrams movies are so full of flaws, inaccuracies, and down-right total gaffs as to make them totally unwatchable to real students of TOS.

Wow--no snark--I'm not an actor and your example made me tear up. You're right. The acting in Star Trek: TOS is *much* better than people give the actors credit for. They caught lightning in a bottle in that show.
@Illusenfan35 lol, twice. This time they were shot up with stuff on purpose so that the entity on board couldn't posess them, and there was a time they encountered a virus that caused them to act intoxicated.
This is after 3 women were brutally stabbed to death. One of which was a crew member and Captain Kirk is going to have to write a letter to her family.
But they know that Spock would only be interested in visiting that special cafe once every seven years. And that the last time Spock felt the instinctive urge to get some hot coffee was just two episodes earlier.
Hell, Jim would drag Spock with him everywhere! Was he just trying to get Bones and Scotty out of the way to be alone with Spock? :p (and the necessary girl of course)
Spocks logic, McCoy's emotion and Kirk's decision making. A time that could all see how conversations used to be conduct rather than in the culture/ cancel war that we find us in today. This shows scripts were very educational beyond everything else.
