Adogg, I think the reason so many people listen to Voice Play, Home Free, and PTX, is because Geoff (Voice Play), Tim (Home Free) and Avi (PTX) all hit so impossibly low notes and are still able to sing up in the tenor range is just so impressive the range of these three basses.
I'm a bass singer and blown away by all three. Yeah, off-mic, my range will match or exceed any of the three, but in recorded, on-mic music, they have me beat. Many bass singers call the growls and subharmonics cheating; I just see them as different tools. I'm a staunch libertarian, as well -- taxation is theft!

Great reaction! :D I love watching peoples first time reactions to a capella groups, esp such talented ones like PTX, Home Free, and Voiceplay. Voiceplay has a new song releasing at noon today (I think it's est). This is one of two video's to celebrate J.None's time with the band. There is a behind the scene's video on their channel where J. None says why he's leaving the group, which makes me so proud and yet dang-gone sad. J. None is the baritone of the group and is on the far left with the blue makeup around the eyes and black jacket. Earl is the high tenor and he's in the middle (he left the group last year). Eli is also a tenor and he's in red. These 3 are playing the kids I think (I'm not sure what they call them in the movie since I never sat down and watched it with the kids and my husband, they just looked like kids to me). Layne is on the far right of the screen and he's the beat boxer/vocal percussionist and he's playing the dog from the movie.

I enjoyed your reaction! All their Nightmare before Christmas songs are great (“This is Halloween”, “What’s This?” and “Kidnap the Sandy Claws”)! “The Little Mermaid Medley” is fun too, and if you’d like to see a kidnapping drama, there’s a triology consisting of “Trapped: Bille Eilish in 3 minutes”, “Panic at the disco part 1” and “Panic at the disco part 2” (part 2 is really short). Sorry, many recommendations... I think everything they do is great!
They also have another Nightmare Before Christmas song, This Is Halloween, that's fun. Pentatonix has a song for Making Christmas, which is great too. You should react to both of those. :)

Voiceplay is equal to Ptx & Home Free with talent. They each have their own unique sound, but all equally entertaining! It would be my dream come true to have all 3 groups do a show together one day!!! WOW!!!

They team up with another acapella group who play the hillbillies.

I really enjoyed your reaction. You have to see Nightmare Before Christmas, it’s a classic. I’ve watched it hundreds of times with my kids. Danny Elfman wrote all the music and songs and is the voice of Jack (main character). You have to be a bit of a musical lover. My hats off to Voiceplay. When you hit material like that, you have to go all in or not at all. Love musicals! You’re fun. Keep enjoying all that stuff. I’ll be watching, yuk yuk yuk... 🤗
Most folks miss the "gummy worms and spiders" that fall out of Geoff's mouth when he sings "snake and spider stew". Watch again. It happens fast
Geoff is amazing as the lead. He makes for such a satisfying villain! So much so the others are eclipsed a bit, which shouldn't be because they are just as amazing in their respective roles. Whoever created this arrangement is a musical genius. 😊 Check out their Moana medley.
