    Oh my.... 😮 Emperor's New Clothes was a stop, rewind, quick pic for me!! I see he was registered in 2021 by Walters. How long do they typically come on the market after registration? Do you know? That's a "gotta have" for sure. 😊 GREAT tour! I cant wait for you to tour your hosta beds again. 👍🏻

    Love, love, love the Hosta tours. My only wish is that you could slow down a wee bit as I had to pause for every single one to catch the name. As always, thank you so much for sharing! 😊♥️

    Thank you Heidi for the beautiful Hosta tour. The cats’s graceful walk through the garden was a good indicator of the plant size.
    However I had a hard time reading some of the names.

    Thanks so much for this Hosta tour. Do these new Hostas at Walters garden, come about when a natural mutation occurs and “pup” is different from the parent Hosta and is then grown on, or I are these the result of purposely crossing of two Hostas? I have many in my Hosta collection that have different new Hostas coming from the mother plant during their 20 years in my garden. I have even had one self seed across the garden by itself.

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  Рік тому

      I am sure they use all aspects of ways to come up with new varieties. I think many are just "odd" looking ones in a large block of all the same kind.

    So beautiful! I wish I had more shady areas to grow hostas as they are a favorite. I need some of the mini ones though! Are all of these Proven Winner's and available to purchase online or through a garden center?

    6:43 Heidi, what is the one to the left thats kinda white? It was next to "High society". I was hoping you'd go to it since it was next in line but then you jumped back a row. 🤦‍♂️ Thanks for this tour. So many beautiful hostas.

    What was that plant at the 1:00 mark? They were sticking out of the ground in individual stems with 6 leaves each? Like little palm trees

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  Рік тому

      That is a great question. I have not noticed them before and am not sure what they are.

    It was really difficult reading the cultivar markers . Should have watched video before sending .

    • @gardencrossings

      The intention was if you wanted to make a note you could pause the video and write it down or take a screenshot.

    I’m impressed by this gorgeous Hosta collection. However, I’m not very impressed by the video. Many tags are shown too briefly to actually read, many plants are being shown twice, others repeatedly skipped.

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  11 місяців тому +1

      You can stop the video at any point if you would like to jot down the plant names. Also there are many hosta that were skipped because the name tags were not listed so I had no reference to give you. I am sorry.

  • @bryonthomas7130
    @bryonthomas7130 Рік тому

    What a disappointing video! Beautiful plants, but you COULDN'T READ THE NAMES. PUT THE NAMES ON THE SCREEN SO WE CAN READ THEM PLEASE. IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT!

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  Рік тому +3

      I am glad you know about video editing and how 'easy' it is. Our intentions were not to put pop ups all over this video. you can stop the video to read the name tag if you wish.

    Does anyone know the name of the hosta at 12:42?, to the left of the Touch of Class and directly behind the Atlantis. It must be a newer one because I didn't recognize it and I checked the Walter's Garden site and couldn't decide on a match.

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  10 місяців тому

      Sorry I missed the tag, Or they may also not have been one.
