Sound quality: First JBL has a deeper bass and perhaps a better sounds in the highs( more clear), it does plays better inside, outside the bass loses its power, due to frecuency set 60hz, the Sony has two woofers and two tweeters, it does plays better at 50% volume (inside -outside) due to its characteristics the bass that comes out of the Sony is 80hz perfect for all places, I really like a Rich punching bass (Sony well done) Battery life: JBL tecnology it's left behind, I understand due to the combination of three different sounds stages in it, bass ( sub, mid, high) in another hand, the Sony has better battery life, yes! it does plays the whole day long. Features: the Sony has better and faster Bluetooth interface (connectivity ), it plays USB flash drive (something unique) it gives you better sounds quality than Bluetooth one, more, it has a mic input, it's designed I think it's more beautiful 😍, also the Sony has a more natural sound it doesn't feel bad at all. Price: when you compare both the difference is huge! I bought a Sony for $150 and the Boom box was $400! (Sony XG-500) ( JBL Boombox 3) WiFi)
I just got the speaker and the sound is amazing. If you tweak the settings, it sound awesome. I wide surround sound looses the mid tones, but if you switch from side to side, it's sounds great.

Better battery life sony👍. Better sound JBL boombox 3. Xg 500 has lot more functions than boombox 3..

It's amazing how tweaking a few settings can transform the whole audio experience. It's almost like sculpting sound, right?
