- Here is my review of the Ryobi 13 in 11 amp lawn mower available at Home Depot. A low quality, but low priced, option for those with tiny yards or temp mowing needs. #ryobi #review

Worst review ive seen yet and your voice is fucking annoying lol thanks!
My mother has offered similar feedback.
@@aaronstestlab im a asshole in a good way
.. no harm done bud!
JayH24 shut up turd
@@aaronstestlab that guy probably works for ryobi lol
@@aaronstestlab I got this mower and the grass clippings don’t go in the bag. I’ve tried to adjust the height on the mower and nothing…any pointers?
I am a 65 year old widow and I *LOVE* my Ryobi lawnmower! Lightweight, basic, simple and easy to use - I can push it with one hand! I call *BS* on your review, but to each his/her own. I personally highly recommend this wonderful product.
Hi, I bought one of these prior to watching your video and I'm glad because I would not have done so if I had watched your video prior.
Now, I have used my Ryobi 13" electric cord mower 3 times so far and I love my cheap Ryobi. I am 71 years old and live in an RV park whereby I have to mow my lot. I do not have a shed to store a larger mower nor the strength to handle a gas or larger mower. This little "Cheapo" mows my lot with ease plus I really enjoy the "toy" feeling it brings (because she is so light I can lift her with ease and really easy to use). I bought a durable 100ft/16 outdoor cord and had no problems attaching, but I never use the "cord holders" because I know exactly how to attach an electric cord so that it does not unplug from the mower, and she has never once stalled nor quit. I do not use the bag because I prefer to grass mulch what I have cut. Now when I am done I do take a lot of time to clean her up before storing her in one of my RV storage compartments, but again, I am enjoying caring and appreciating this mower... a LOT!!!
Your Review was extremely negative and if I could, I would, do an extremely "positive" video showing me smiling and happy while using my "Cheapo Ryobi Mower" and showing other elders how to enjoy cutting small yards with ease.
Now, this is NOT a suitable size mower if you have a large yard, but for us "Elders" with tiny lots and small spaces...Absolutely!!!
Yeah you should do a video, I'm debating whether to buy one of these for my mom who is an elder who is also in a mobile home. This review I felt was honest, have you experienced the issue with the unit stopping for 10 seconds?
@@supremeclientele3344 It has never stalled or quit. Now if the grass cutting has been neglected, it may stall because it's a bit tall. I mow my yard often so that the grass and other lawn growth will not cause that. I hope that helps you.
Oh I now am using the bag and using those clippings as mulch around flower bed areas, the electric poles or wherever. It's cheaper than wood chips and does a great job (in my opinion). Now the bag has to be emptied "a lot", but again, I am in no rush and enjoying doing something outside that makes my space look clean and taken care of.
@@lilmountainlady thank you that is very helpful, my mother is in a similar situation and wants the excercise.
I am glad I bought mine as well and didn’t watch this video prior. I have front and back yard that is 3,000 sq ft and was done in NO time using this lawn mower. I put it on the highest setting for grass too and never had problems stalling or hesitating. I love my new cheap mower!!! The guy making this video is indeed super negative and maybe got a bad mower.
I had a friend of mine who bought one of these off the street with no manual and this video helped us to realize that the grasp bag wasn’t a case for the lawnmower not even two minutes into the video. So I thank you for helping us solve our issue my guy!
I just got it today and there was no manual in package! Lol i thought it was a refurbished unit!
I felt the review was honest and you touched on very important points, mainly the stowing and the motor stopping. Thank you for the effort.
I bought it. It's way faster and easier than the push mower I was using before. I do our small lawn in about fifteen minutes. I wouldn't use it on a low cut setting.
Our lawn is elevated so I have to carry it uphill. There's also a sloped portion. I was concerned the 19" might be too heavy.
Great job- I agree with the statement regarding the height adjustment and you're right. It feels like a toy! The catch bag outweighs the mower when full, you literally have to push the handle up to keep it from tipping as you mow!
bought one for my 400 sq ft sod... and as long as you dont try to cut long arse grass... its fine..i mean 89 bux fine.... 2 years and still working
thank you for the honest review
I cut some heavy grass with this unit. As light as a vacuum and easy to maneuver. The 13 inch size makes for more passes and 12 inch high weeds require lifting the front a bit. 2 years old, recommend it.
I love this little thing. Why? Because it’s so light my young teen can now has no excuse that the lawnmower is “too heavy.”
I bought one yesterday and it did a good job. Unfortunately I didn't find out until I went to empty the catcher that the mulching plug is pre-installed and the catcher had about three blades of grass in it.
At least I know the mulching plug works, even though I'll never use it. I'd rather pick up any weeds than distribute their seeds all over my lawn.
We only have one corded Ryobi mower in Australia - a 36cm/14 inch model - and it has a folding handle.
I just bought and used this lawnmower, have to say it gave me some trouble but you get what you pay for so I can't complain. It's good for the price but I'd save a ton of time with a better mower for sure.
So if it isn't expensive is bad? Not all the time. I had ryobi tools for years and they are good.
wonderful detailed review thanks man
Very well explained 👍🏼
I got mine to work for 20 minutes. Won’t turn back on-taking it back today.
That sucks
I bought one yesterday..on switch doesn't turn on mower..taking it back today😡
The grass catcher doesn't really collect the grassq
this sexy little thing is perfect to convert into an RC electric LawnMower! I already have most of what i need except the chassis itself. ANd i think i just found a perfect price/looks candidate
haha, nice. U should do a video of that conversion. Though wouldn't a cordless mower make it easier?
Aaron Woodwell yeah a cordless would be ideal, because they already bring a battery to spin the blades and thus one less thing I have to power.
I just bought this at a moving sale for $10. Hopefully it'll do good enough! Otherwise, wasted money, oh well.
A coffee at Starbucks is a waste of money a $10 is an excellent deal if it works.
Beautiful review
Bought this 7 months ago and it no longer starts. Can’t find anyone willing to do warranty work on it and that includes the repair shops listed online as a Ryobi service center. .thus, the warranty is worthless, just like the POS mower.
That sucks. Did you request warranty service directly through Ryobi?
Did you remove the mulching divider?
The price has doubled since this review. I bought one a year ago for about 100 dollars. It works better if you use the bagger because there is no side discharge. It is dependable and a hard worker though.
Mines stalled and never came back on
Ur a certified cord mower !!
Uhm, yeah I guess?
I have never used any kind of mower in my entire life and I have no idea how to start this thing. There are no explicit instructions on how to start it for first time users. Why do they assume everyone who buys a lawn mower has already used a mower??? Growing up we never had a lawn mower and I have always rented and never needed one. So how the hell do you start the damn thing??? SPECIFICALLY.
It is overheating because your grass is too tall. Cutting tall grass with any mower take a smaller path.
Dang I almost considered buying this until I saw this review. I guess you can’t expect much for a mower under a $100.
Hope I didn't discourage you too much, it's really not that bad. Especially for the price. I've since moved to a bigger house and have been using it for a larger yard. Still running just fine.
Aaron Woodwell No I’m glad I saw your video. I saw the good reviews on Home Depot’s site and for that price I knew it was too good to be true. Thanks.
How to replace drive belt
IDK
If being used 150 feet-plus from an outlet, wouldn’t this mower require a 12 gauge cord, and thereby run you up against a problem inserting the plug into the mower receptacle? Looks like a deal breaker if I’m using a lot of cord. Can you provide a link to the manual?
Chuck Thomas , I think a manual is not available, even on the Ryobi site. Just another area where they cut costs for this POS mower
I bought two of these at a local auction for $10
Dope
Do you think it can cut zoysia grass? It’s somewhat tough grass. I have a very small yard.
Not familiar with that species.
Used it once, now it will not start..suggestions?
Return it to the store
What do you expect for 99 bucks
I have one... there's 5 holes for lengths.. bought it a year ago, found out 5 seconds ago... holes are tough to see
Really, annoying how you sound so mad and disappointed at this little cheap lawnmower, what were you expecting?. Than again, thank you for the video.
But on the flip side, doesn't YT have enough happy reviewers that heap praise on mediocre products?
@@aaronstestlab true that which is also annoying lol...still great to see people show these reviews.
Sorry you were disappointed by the box 🤷🏻♂️
I pride myself in being able to see the negative in anything
Am I the only one who’s mower does not pick up their grass?
Hate to ask the obvious, but did you remember to remove the mulching plug?
@@aaronstestlabSoooo what had happened was. I did not 😂🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ & now that I have, problem is fixed
Not to shabby of a mower IF the bag would stay on more than 2 minutes. ANY bump in my lawn yeets the bag right of. I'm gonna finish up the lawn and return it. Good review, meh product.
I say BS on this review! I have a battery powered lawnmower of the same model and I love it! I’ve cut grass as high as the one in this review if not higher and it did not bog down or quit on me one time! Terrible review!
If yours if battery powered it's not the same model.
Aaron Woodwell Yes sir I know that. Only difference is that mine runs off of a 18 V battery, yours run off a extension cord. But it’s still basically the same mower! Same mower, different power source!
Mine is great and cost 65 bucks - and I feel better about my lawn after seeing how awful yours is
2024 is going for $110.00
You need to curse on a review for a mower? Pass, dislike.
Thanks for the feedback Karen
@@aaronstestlab 🤣🤣
JayH24 He's no Morgan Freeman but he's not that bad. It's a lawnmower review for God's sake, grow up.
Hater review 😂😂😂
